A first day of school “surprise” for a 3rd grade student at our Legacy Traditional School – Surprise campus. Esmeralda McKenzie returned from Iraq this morning, just in time for her daughter’s first day of school. Welcome home from all of us at Legacy!
REMINDER: In an effort to alleviate traffic from backing up on Bowlin Rd. Please do not arrive on campus until dismissal. Driveline will begin at 2:40pm for Elementary and 2:55pm for Jr. High. Thank you for your cooperation!
RISE testing will begin the week of August 20. Parents, if you are interested in having your child tested, please pick up a packet in the office and return it by Aug 17th
Elementary RISE students and parents: There is a packet coming home this week that parents will need to read with their child, sign, and return it. If it does not get returned, the child will not be able to attend classes.
...Jr High Gifted: Students will be reading through the syllabus, creating goals, picking a character trait to work on and playing team bonding games.

...REMINDER: Our district does NOT have early release on Wednesdays. Please refer to the school calendar for those days. Also, our late pick-up policy is in full effect. Students picked up after 20 minutes from their dismissal time will be considered late pick-up. Parents will be charged $1 per minute per student. Two warnings will be given during the entire year.

Today Pepperidge Farms announced a voluntary recall of four Varieties of Goldfish® Crackers. At Legacy, we do not offer any of the four affected flavors, nor does our distributor stock them. So, the Goldfish served yesterday (During LKC and Preschool) are safe.

LTS-Maricopa grads earn over $410,000 in scholarships; $2.5 million network-wide
Legacy Traditional Schools wishes to congratulate our outstanding Class of 2014 as students graduate from high school and embark on their next chapter. For the more than 100 graduates of Legacy’s Class of 2014, future plans include everything from in-state colleges to out-of-state universities, military service, mission work, seminary school and more.
Network-wide, Legacy ’14 grads earned a com...bined $2,566,272 in college scholarships. That includes $412,800 earned by LTS-Maricopa students alone.
