Who are we?
The Le Mysterium is an art, décor, fashion collective currently comprised of artists, designers and makers coming together to revive the countercultural model of “collective” that was born out of the 1960s. We are reinventing the way society views art and does business by working together to share resources, collaborate and create a sustainable, local business model. We are reinventing the way “business” is conducted by creating a new paradigm in which profits are made and shared in a way that supports the community. What are our values?
We are a collective of artists — from different disciplines, but we all share the idea that our planet is negatively impacted by unchecked consumerism and that we need to act in responsible ways to lessen this impact. We are committed to sharing resources and repurposing materials so as to lessen the carbon impact of our crafts.

What are our aesthetics?
We embrace the unknown and the mysterious. We take historical inspirations from late 19th and early 20th century aesthetics including art nouveau, Victorian and Edwardian influences. Many of our pieces reveal a juxtaposition between old and new; industrialized elements and nature; dark and light. Much of our work involves mixing hard modernized forms with natural elements like wood, insects, bones, and other organic materials. We strive to embrace the intersectionality of the physical and spiritual worlds through our work. Often this includes combining forms of orthodox Christianity with traditional, indigenous occultist elements. Our work appreciates the freedom, whimsy and oddity of circus culture and gypsy life. We challenge contemporary notions of beauty. When the spirit moves, we flourish.
