In my experience, all of the Dr's and staff were very friendly and personable. Dr. Mulhern was polite and I appreciated that he answered all my questions and let me know what to expect with my eyes over the years to come.I got in and out of my appointment in a timely manor. The optical shop was very knowledgeable when helping me with picking out the perfect frames. All around great experience!!

Upon arriving to the office I was greeted by all three of the front desk receptionists, they offered to check me in and informed me the techs and doctor would be with me shortly. At first I was worried that I was not going to visit with the doctor but after my exam, it made sense to me. The techs did the exam and asked me lots of questions that way when it was time for the doctor to see me, he would have time to visit with me about my concerns etc. The doctors are busy and if it weren't for the techs (which were all lovely and very personable) helping I don't think any of us would be able to actually see a doctor. After my exam I went over to the optical shop to pick out some glasses. The lead optician was extremely helpful with helping me decide on a frame. She encouraged me to talk about myself so that she could help me find a frame that would suit my lifestyle. The same goes for lens material. Who knew that there were different kinds of lens materials? The optician helped me list out several different options and even walked me through more affordable options and explained how I could submit to my own vision plan.

Overall I was very happy with the experience and I felt more comfortable in Lawrence Eye Care than I have in any other optometrist in the area.

Since my eyes take FOREVER to dilate it was nice that Dr. Mulhern was direct and to the point so that I could get on with my day. All my questions were answered and scheduling my next appointment was very easy. The staff are very pleasant and go above and beyond.

I used to go to Dr. Hickman but now that he is gone I was transferred to Dr. Mulhern. My experience was horrible. I waited almost in the room for an hour for the doctor to show up and when he did, he quickly glance at my eyes not taking more than 2 minutes top. I tried to tell him my vision seem to be getting worst but he pretty much brushes me off. The speed and way he talk I can tell that he was trying to rush me out of the exam room. I didn't bother to even bring up my problem because what is the point when any of my concerns I bring up he's just gonna give me an half-ass (excuse my language) of an answer. I waited almost an hour and got to spend max 5 minutes with the actual doctor. Why become a doctor if you not gonna care about your patient? What happen to the oath you swore when you went into medical school? I feel bad the whole Lawrence Eye Care Assoc. is getting one star due to Dr. Mulhern because I don't know how great the other doctor(s) is/are. If I can separate the rating based on individual doctors I would have definitely given only Dr. Mulhern the one star. I'm glad I'm moving soon and won't ever have to go to him again.

My previous doctor left the practice so I was given a new doctor, Dr. Mulhern. Worst eye doctor I have ever had. First thing I noticed was that he did not do any part of the exam. If I wanted a tech to do my exam I would have gone to an optometrist, not an opthomologist and would have paid a lot less money. When Dr Mulhern finally did come into the exam room, he was very rude and flippant. He was not interest in listening to me about the issues I was having. I then purchased my glasses from them. Glasses cost me $300+ and did not even come with a case. I have had nothing but problems with them. Today, a lens just popped out while the I was wearing them.
