This is a place I wouldn't want to be after dark. Not because of the cemetery, but because of the neighborhood.
    Interesting historical graveyard.

Every bit as beautiful as Bonaventure, but far less crowded because most people don't know it is even here.

From previous information I was thankful that my visit June 2015 was on point. I had little luck searching online for my mother her parents and her maternal grandparents.
I continued to encounter online issues where the access to the negro black section that is visible and the token area with visible wooden marker designates a few slave burials was hampered. The sight continued to take me to the elegant grand setting of North Section. There is a great deal of online history about who donated land and the continued divisions of the burial sights for human animal (slaves) and human animal (owner). I was happy to see the South or Old Section had been cleaned up from reported downed tree limbs, trees and broken headstones. The staff member who at the time I drove in was busy conversing with several other people, was polite and considerate upon approach. He assisted me in locating the family members I was looking for. He took the time to even come by and made sure I was okay. It had been a long 20 plus years since the most recent burial and the funds avail to make such a trip. The delay and outcome was a positive event.

It's very pretty BUT we came looking for a certain family member and needed help finding a plot and no one was here to help and no one ever answered the phones either. Not sure if we will ever find it without help.
