Landis Publications is developing a unique collection of books and various publications devoted to Southern California's colorful and distinctive history. The southern portion of the Golden State contains some of the most diverse
geography and resources found anywhere in the world. From temperate sun-drenched beaches, to towering mountain ranges, and scorching deserts, Southern California has is all.
The region also has an abundance of fine local history authors whose works tell the stories of the settlers, pioneers, entrepreneurs, and even the scoundrels who shaped the course of Southern California's development. These authors have chosen to document the people and places not found in most history books.
Many of these works had limited circulation, and would be difficult to locate anywhere else. Suggestions about additions to the selection offered here are welcome.
