Its beautiful the drive was rough coming the main way from Michigan but when i finally arrived it was worth the hellish ride

It was nice here. Everyone was friendly. It's peaceful. The cabins are great only there were no latters to the bunk beds. And you must bring your own pillows and blankets. You also must bring your own towels. Other than that, Im having a great time.

Very polluted. It's funny that they employ work crews to 'maintain the forest' like it's a lawn in a subdivision but the maintenance crew fails to walk even 3 steps into the woods to discover the horde of litter in the forest along the trails and in the creeks and waterways, garbage is everywhere really incompetence and laziness at its finest. Need to focus less on their massive list of needless rules and focus on getting people to clean up after themselves.
Also the parks "smile you're on litter cam, fines up to $25,000" signs don't fool anyone. In fact, it just kind of pissed me off after a while that management would try to use such controlling and manipulative tactics. I pick up others litter, but after a while, I wanted to start littering just to give the middle finger to whoever put up those signs.
Don't get me wrong, the place is pretty and has great potential but the human element sadly ruined my experience.
Update: I got kicked out of part of the park because "this part of the park is closed". I feel like Joe Pesci in my cousin vinny, the whole store got the flue?! Why is a bunch of trees closed?! The 1 star is for the folks that work here 😤😤😤response / report this review -

Could not find a person to ask where my camping spot was (tent). The bathrooms were terrible, electric outlet did not work, showers in tent area were Not kept clean. Had to use rv showers which were 80% better. I asked to have electric fixed, it was not done. The workers brought a tour bus in and reed it up for hours late at night and fumes were terrible.

Not the ideal place to camp if your looking for a place to meet people but it is silent at night for good ghost stories or sleep. However camp sites are pretty close together and a little in private but it usually doesn't have a huge crowd staying. They also offer cabins that are cheap
