We enjoyed our dinners there: good food and nicely prepared. Also, there is a nice view from the dinning room - especially at this time of year, especially if you sit by the Windows.

One of our favorite places in Ohio and the restaurant at the new lodge is excellent! Great food and nice people, treat yourself to the Sunday brunch with friends, you'll be back for sure!

LOVE!!! One of the best parts of our trip! Getting there was a little difficult but well worth it, once you get to the top of the hill you were welcomed by a friendly staff. Not only is the food delicious the view was a must-see I never knew Ohio could be so beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone, and hope to be back in the near future. Thank you for the great experience!!

Excellent food and wait staff. Very friendly and aware of what's available in the kitchen. Didn't hover but was very attentive with our 6 person table needs. Brisket, pulled pork, and smoked wild turkey was amazing!!! Excellent desert menu and beer selection. The wood fired pizza was fantastic!

Bon Appetit!

We live 17 miles from Lake Hope Lodge. It is remotely located in the beautiful Zaleski Forest of Vinton County; OMG what a hidden gem we found!

My wife had a burger with pulled pork and slaw. I had grilled chicken. Our sandwiches came with fries (other substitutions available). My wife's sandwich was piled so high that she had to eat it with a fork and knife. My chicken was thick and meaty, cooked to perfection. We both loved the fries, they were excellent and there was plenty of them. Our waitress, her name was Ousley (?) was great, she was attentive and saw to our ever need. Our table sat on the edge of Lake Hope. While waiting for our food I used Lake Hope's WiFi and looked at pictures of how beautiful the Lodge is in the Autumn. We were there on a beautiful but cool spring day, cool enough that they had a fire going. The grounds were pristine. We finished our meals with New York Cheesecake, simply the best I ever had.

I have no constructive criticism, everything was perfect, delicious and scrumptious! Please note that I am very hard to please when it comes to dining out and the best you will usually get from me is "it was okay" if I really liked it well the Lake Hope Lodge was excellent! and exceeded my expectations. We will go back, next time maybe for Pizza on a Friday night, but we will be back regularly. Excellent, Bon Appetit!

We visited Lake Hope Lodge twice, once for lunch on Saturday and for brunch on Sunday. I had the beef brisket sandwich which was to die for. The brisket is so well smoked and tender it melts in your mouth. The meal was a bit greasy but delicious. My husband enjoyed his burger with smoked turkey and coleslaw and the kids burger was great for our toddler. The location was beautiful. Their selection of craft brews (for cheap!) was a wonderful bonus. We were delightfully surprised by the large selection on Sunday and again devoured the beef brisket and enjoyed the other sides like potatoes au gratin and well seasoned and perfectly cooked vegetable medley. Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive and their coffee and tea was delicious as well. Considering our toddler ate for free (under 4) and we ate our fill it was well worth the price. Next time we visit Hocking Hills we'll be back for sure.

I went in December of 2016 for a girls date and was amazed at their Sunday brunch. So today I took my husband to experience the brunch. We drove an hour and 15 minutes to get there from where we live. Beautiful drive on a sunny crisp cold March Sunday. It certainly was worth the drive again. Wonderful food and great staff! Saw a wonderful thing. An older gentleman spilled his entire plate on the floor as he was getting going thru the buffet line. Before I could put my plate down to help him the chef who was there greeting the guest stepped right in to help the gentleman. He even had him go sit back down instead of going to the back of the serving line to start all over. Whybecause of the chef went thru the line for him and made his plate for him and delivered it to him. It was so nice to see that. The chef was so nice and personable. We will be back and definitely recommend this to our family and friends.

This Lodge has only food Amazing food with amazing wait staff. If my husband and talk about food the next day, it must have been good cuisine! When possible, they try to use local produce and non antibiotic Meats. If you're not terribly hungry have the White Lizard Pizza named and put together by their own staff member. Their alcohol list is reasonable.
If you're into spontaneity, and you're there before 5 p.m. you just might be able to request a cabin to stay in. I recommend the IRON FURNACE wood burner cabins. And possibly you can pick up your wood there. We love their cabins. Some are pet friendly.
