Great place to spend the day with the family ! From camping to fishing to swimming ! Campsites have water and power hookups, paved and dirt areas, and fire pit. Several boat ramps to choose from with docks.
Love hanging out here on weekend's catching fish Monster cats and huge bluegill and crappie. Had weekends of great fishing and relaxation
Small entrance fee. Great water access for swimming, fishing, picnic tables outside and under rented shelters with fireplaces and grills. Full plumming bathroom buildings spaced throughout the park. Okay cell service on some networks. Camper sites and camp sites.
A beautiful, family friendly park with excellent camping.
We camped here for three first time this weekend and found wonderful people, nice paved sites, and families everywhere. Great place to bring kids to camp.
Reminded me a lot of Lake Hartwell State Park but nicer. Sites were tight be aware when reserving for first time. Only fault I could find was shower in bathhouse was slow to drain not a big deal though. Staff was great. Would go back.
This is a beautiful park. The lake is gorgeous and the facilities are well-maintained. The picnic shelter we reserved was especially nice, with attached bathrooms and two fireplaces that look like they'd be cozy in the cooler months. There are two boat ramps, as well as plenty of flat spaces along the shore where you could put in kayaks or canoes. They have campsites, but I didn't get a chance to check them out. However, even if you're just looking to make an afternoon of it, it's one of the best spots for a cookout with friends and family I've been to in years.
Five moons out of five. Would watch an eclipse there again.
We had our wedding here in September 2016 and just loved this venue! Plenty of tables and chairs for a large group plus the patio area is beautiful. Huge kitchen available for use. We are so glad we choose Lake Greenwood State Park for our wedding! We also rented a campsite and our dogs enjoyed the water access.
Very nice. Sandy Beach. Shells. Small park for kids. Clean bathroom. And best of all quiet
Very scenic, very relaxing. You meet friendly and polite people, the swimming area is nice, most of the picnic tables near the swimming area are shaded and close to the water. You find cool shells too, which kids enjoy.
The state park use to be a really cool place to go too back in the 90s.
Now you have security guards that are in there lower to mid 20s that harass you for something that is so Redundant, that makes you not want to go back.
These kids are not park rangers, nor law enforcement, but in their mind they think they are.
I remember just 2 years ago, I payed to get in, but had to leave to go to the store right up the street about 2 miles to buy ice n soda. I even had the piece of paper where I payed the first time.
They made me pay agian!
Told me if you leave it doesn't matter you still got to pay to get back in.
I didn't see any signs saying that. I bet that person pocketed that money.
They will even harass you if you have your radio speaker turned up to number 3 out of 10 "NO JOKE" that by it's self should tell you something.
In other words, the place sucks!
Decent enough. Has some nice areas for hanging out. Just wish our lake wasn't brown 😕
Everytime we go whether we are camping or just out for the day we have a great time. And the park is always very well kept.
