The only vet I have ever trusted with all my animals. And I appreciate all that they do, even through the loss of a beloved puppy, Dr Susan Lee was there for us and did everything she could tip try saving our Lulu. She was, just as hurt, by the loss, as we were. And helped us through it and let us take our time tip say our goodbyes and grieve as we needed.
That being said, the staff and her husband (who is also a vet there, "Mr" Dr. Lee) is wonderful and friendly and I love the fact that they have a welcome packs for new puppy and kitten owners, and a wonderful program called "puppy parties" where you can learn with other puppy owners and socialize your puppy with other puppies until they are 5 months old, along with other community fund raisers and programs, like the "group dog walk".
I love this place and both Dr. Lee's.
If I could give less than 1 star I would.
These people are rude, inconsiderate, dull and don't care at all about your pet AT ALL! Do NOT take your pet here if you care about them even slightly!
My dachshund woke up really sickcoughing, couldn't breathe, and was fainting on a Sunday. I called Lake Area's emergency line and they referred me to a animal hospital in Kalamazoo because they didn't have a Dr. on call because they had a family emergency in Indianapolis. So I took him to Kalamazoo. Needless to say, that place was a joke. I called first thing Monday morning to try and get him seen at Lake Area for some medication to take the load off his chest. He was diagnosed with a heart murmur in Kzoo. Lake Area wouldn't even see him because "he's not a patient here". Even though, I have had him there before and also he was there a year or two before because he was stung by a bee and he's allergic. I have also had my Dalmatian there and just paid $500 a couple weeks prior because he was poisoned. I will never, NEVER pay this place another dime!
Knowledgable and fit me in when overbooked and short staffed.
Very Rude! I just called to see if I could find out if the dog I just got was all up to date. I do not know the previous owners name bc they turned the dog back over to the home where she was born. I just wanted to find out how I go about it. She was so rude and couldn't even let me finish asking what I wanted to ask. So glad I do not use them!
Lady who answered phone was very rude! She was quite crappy to me because I waited so long to get dogs in for rabbies vaccine and tags. Will not ever use this vet again
We quit this clinic! They always put you on hold every time they answer the phone, and you can hardly ever get you in the same day you call. I recently had an incident with an old dog (had to wait two days for an appointment) we brought the old guy in and was forced to wait in my car because they thought he was contagious due to coughing at age TWELVE. I understand precautions but this was beyond ridiculoushe had a collapsed trachea, and lung cancer, not kennel coughso we were made to sit out in our car an hour.
I wrote a letter and expressed how I felt about our recent treatment, and got a reply back from the owner. It was condescending and defensive, instead of apologetic for the treatment we experienced seriouslylook else where. This clinic is not that good to warrant the delayed care when you call and rude phone skills of the staff. And their screaming birds in the waiting room! annoying and awful!
HORIBLE "PEOPLE" BE CAREFUL!
We have been taking my dog( chocolate lab) here for a few years, and my wife had taken her dog here for 14years. Recently our lab has had a growth on his leg, we took him in a year ago and got it removed he was just fine, till it came back just a little while ago. The other day we took him in and they suggested a few thing we picked surgery. Took him today and the said they wouldn't take payments and wanted the full amount up front, CRAZY. So they refused and now we are left with a dog who needs critical help. We offered half down. They said no more payments what a crock. I run a business and could not get away with this. Since when have you paid a plumber or painter as soon as they walked in the door crazy.
Dr. Susie is awesome and un like many vets. Its not just a job for her it's the love on the fur baby's and their humans.
