This is the first year that we have been able to take both kids and them been able to ride the rides. It is such a fun place for families with kids of all ages. We are very happy to attend for hours or a full day. I would like to see options for cheaper food costs.

I love lagoon each time we go there! I've gone ever since I was a very young child and now that I'm older I take my own family to it.
I'm thrilled with the new rides they have added, especially the kid rides that are designed so that adults can ride with their children. (Note that the"magic height" for your child to be able to ride all of the rides in the children area is 36")
The newer large roller coasters, like Wicked and Cannibal, are sick great rides! They load relatively fast so the lines don't get too long, or at least if they do the line keeps moving so it doesn't feel as long.
Season ticket prices as up to being about the price of 3 regular day passes (season parking is currently about 6 day passes). If you are coming going more than one day during the year then seriously consider session passes.
I enjoy Frightmares each year they do it. Just enough scary things to make it fun. Their haunted house are obviously nowhere near the level as the big haunted house and only take a few minutes to go through, but it is just enough to get you a little scared then go and have some more fun riding rides.

I have been going to lagoon since a very young age and it keeps getting better each year!! I’m sure pretty much everyone in Utah has been here at least once in there life and they keep coming back because it’s so great!!! The park is always kept clean and always friendly staff! They keep updating the park with bigger and better rides and I can’t wait to see what the do next!! Also Frightmares is my most looked forward to event for fall!! This park is great for all age groups and has something that everyone will enjoy!! Love Lagoon so much!

So much fun! I went with with my parents and my wife and we were all entertained all day long! We didn’t bring any swim wear so we didn’t check out the water park but the rides are great. It’s perfect for all ages as they have some little rides for kids and larger roller coasters that are quite impressive for Utah.
Definitely a must go if visiting the Salt Lake area. I will definitely find myself back thereresponse / report this review -

Love this place! Great place to have fun and enjoy the day. There are many different rides for different ages and excitement levels. The park is generally well kept. Some lines are longer than others but generally move at a steady rate. Come early to enjoy more.

Lagoon is great! Fun but my goodness the lines are forever long! Lagoon needs to build a system where they can only sell a set amount of tickets per day so that the people at the park can actually have fun! But they probably don’t give a shit and only care about bringing in the dough

I love the lagoon rides. I'd buy a season pass every year. However, the animals make me so sad. Concrete floors with no bedding and no simulation. There is no reason for lagoon to even have animals. I refuse to ride the train, but still saw the tiger pacing back and forth growling. You could tell it was bored and frustrated in it's prison. Either create actual habitats or find them new homes.

I’ve been a season passport holder for 6 years now. As of late it’s really gone down hill. They want you to pay extra for better parking, that’s not that great any how. They now have shows you have to pay for and fast passes. Where they send fast past straight through, I waited in a line for over an hour because of this. Unlike Disney land where they send a fast pass through then a non fast past, and alternate.
They also only let short children where costumes where a slightly taller first grader wouldn’t be allowed to. Because they might get confused for an actor. Are you kidding me.
And my child was told she can’t play in the water fountain because she was in shorts and a tank top.response / report this review -

We enjoyed ourselves! However it seems much simpler when you get the privilege to attend on a day that is only open for a private event. The lines are awesome, and you can hit just about every big ride within the first hour or two. If you know of a friend or family member that gets this opportunity (generally through their employer), Be sure to tag along! Getting onto a coaster like the cannibal while only waiting a few minutes is pretty great!

I love Lagoon. Big, beautiful trees, fun rides for kids, toddlers, teens and adults. Pioneer Village is quiet and beautiful and you can see lots of historic buildings, museums, artifacts and more pertaining to Utah history. Reasonable pricing and good food. If you don't want to buy food there, just pack a cooler and bring your own! That's the best part about Lagoon. They have lots of pavilions where you can put your stuff and it will be safe there whole day. Gotta love Utah!

I go there with my 12yo son. This place is nice, family friendly, has a lot of trees - so a lot of shadow, many terraces to keep your staff (families usually bring there their food for the day). Adults like me who do not ride a lot can hide in shadow, or walk and explore Pioneer Village or go to Lagoon Beach water park right there while waiting for their kids (if kids have enough age to ride alone). Nice place! We will buy season passes again.

Not the happiest place on Earth.nor the cheapest. But it is enough to satisfy your thrills and has some pretty decent rides for the kids (1-4 yrs) to do. I will say it is better to go right before opening. Lot less crowded and cooler as well.

Still as great as I remember it from 30 years ago. Tons of shade and places to relax and a great mix of intense rides. They have done an excellent job of getting good "medium" size rides for those with kids that are still not ready for the big rides. Very clean and welcoming. Definitely getting season passes next year.

Lagoon is a great place to take the family for fun. It's the only local option, yet they still keep updating the park with newer and better rides. They have an entire section for younger children, so all of the children can enjoy the park. The corn on the cob is delicious here. If you're getting too hot, ride the Cliffhanger and that should drench you thoroughly. The Cannibal is the best ride of the park and the Wicked probably comes in second. If you really want to experience everything, you'll have to pay extra for the Sky Coaster and the Catapult. Both are worth it.

Good variety of things to do. It's basically an amusement park + small zoo (take train) + museum (pioneer town) + water park. The rides are great and the water park looked like a lot of fun, but I didn't take swimwear and I didn't want to buy theirs. Brought my 2 yr old and he had a good time in the kids area. The dragon ride in the kids area is a bit fast for a 2 yr old though Some rides weren't running and 1 was broken, but not a big deal. Be there when it opens and expect a lot of people in the afternoon. I went on a work day and it was still pretty crowded

Love this place! Me and my family where able to get season passes and used them often!! Be sure to get a parking pass.I didn't and spent so much money parking when the parking passes are only $50 which it cost $10 per visit to park. We surely went over 5 times which could have paid for our parking pass.

I've been going here since mid 90's and like how it's grown. It's always a good time with reasonable wait times, a kids park, and good selection of things to do. You probably can't do it all in one day, I would recommend the season pass for economic sake. (more bang for your buck) but if your only able to be there one day I say you still should if you have never been before. It's not as crowded, and not as long of lines as other national amusement parks.

Fantastic fun for all ages! Great amusement park and an annual pass is recommended if you plan on visiting more than once. It is helpful to bring food in with you or plan on $10 per person per pit stop. During the fall season Lagoon transforms into Frightmares which your little ghosts and goblins will enjoy. Also be sure to hit the new Cannibal roller coaster, it is worth the wait❤️

Lots of thrill rides, but the museums in pioneer village are the real reason to go to lagoon if you ask me!
Parking is $10, be prepared for that.
We noticed the crowds subsided as the day went on. The lines were significantly shorter after about 6:30 pm.
Wear plenty of sunscreen and a hat, and I recommend bringing a simple water bottle you can refill to stay hydrated.
There are convenient lockers to hold your items while riding, but the pros know that cargo shorts are the way to go! Do you have a banana in your pocket? Well yes, and some sunscreen, a safari hat, sunglasses, water bottle
Pro tip: bring a waterproof zip-lock baggie (or equivalent) to put your phone in while riding any of the many rides with water involved.
You can bring a cooler with lunch and beers (no glass) and avoid paying outrageous prices for mediocre food. They don't sell alcohol.response / report this review
