Excellent service at the bar by Bayron and Milan. Great prices for tapas. Tapas are usually overpriced but this place keeps it fair. Happy hour menu used to be better.
Totally one of my favorite spots now. Amazing happy hour specials include a ton of food options and SIX different sangria. Heaven!
Best sangria in town! I am a huge sangria fan and was searching for the best place for a sangria happy hour until I found La Tasca. You have a selection of 6 sangrias made fresh that day or throughout the day. If you are looking for a place with great apps and drinks for happy hour this is the place to goeasy on the wallet too!
Great place for a lunch, service was excellent and food was top notch. Loved the beer from Spain. If you are into desserts this is also three place for you, could go back just for that.
We used to love La Tasca but since they got new owners and management unfortunately the quality and quantity has gone down. The menu is a LOT smaller and the food is missing that special something. On the plus side, the sangria is awesome. Hoping things will adjust a bit with time.
The food and atmosphere was great! The music in the evening had a Rageton sound but it was hard to enjoy without all the patrons at the bar talking over it. Expect to pay upscale prices with gracious service. Food as you can see was delicious! Too hard to decide on limitations.
Great place for tapas and so many fantastic sangria options! Blackberry Mango one was quite boozy but good to start with. My favorite was the bubbly one though! I'd never had non-seafood paella and it was a good option to have on the menu since one of our party was allergic to shrimp and she could still try the paella :) Definitely worth the 30 minute wait! Knocking off a start due to the fact that they were understaffed and I couldn't get the waitress' attention to tell her about the birthday we came to celebrate.
The menu changed and has gotten a lot smaller. Tried the lamb balls they tasted like meatballs and the pork sirloin with bacon wrapped around it. The food was okay but I didn't choose it. Sangria flight was great.
I've been to two other La Tasca restaurants in the DC area and they are far better. The portions are smaller here and the quality is below average (ex: Scallop was the size of an eraser head). For the price there are much better options on King Street.
The food was good but I noticed that they don't have the "All you can eat tapas" so thats a downer for me.
I've spent a little too much time in Spain to say that this place is authentic. But nobody would expect it to be in a suburb of DC. Unfortunately, each of the dishes seemed to be missing something like an important flavor note to balance them. Not that any of them were really bad, just that they all fell just short of the mark of really satisfying.
This is one of my family's favorite places to go. We enjoy all of the tapas, trying tasty small plates. The sangria is awesome. Cava is my favorite! Definitely one of the best happy hours in Old town Alexandria.
Great food, solid 4 stars. Pleasant, lively atmosphere. The service was aweful. The wait staff was extremely over worked and couldn't keep up with demand.
