I stayed here right after it was remodeled, we were in the large house next to the dock. It was so beautiful, there was a hammock in the backyard and you could just sit out and take a nap under the stars at night.

This resort has a beautiful scenery as most do at the keys however their room was clean & cozy & beachy style which definitely made it a pleasant stay overall. We had a lovely view through our balcony. We got to go kayaking, relax on the beach chairs by the water, go swimming in their pool that also had a small tiki area for beer & wine. They had hammocks & cool games & beach toys for adults & kids. We were there on a holiday weekend & we still enjoyed a peaceful & quiet time. The staff was friendly & attentive! It was definitely a nice stay. There are plenty of restaurants, gas stations & cute shops within walking distance or a short drive. And they allow dogs 🐶 there too 👌🏽

Great position and carribbean atmosphere. Some more maintenance in restrooms would be beneficial. There is not sufficient space for breakfast which is served in the reception. However the breakfast is fairly good.

I'm not sure I want to tell you about this place because then it will always be booked !
Best hidden gem in the Keys, we have driven by several years never knew it existed. Cozy, breezy hideaway that is family & pet friendly, lots of accomodation options (studio to multi room housing).
Beautiful SUNRISE location. We would definitely recommend and return.response / report this review -

We had a destination wedding here a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING! We had 75 people stay at the resort, it had a very intimate feel not too small not too big. EVERYONE loved their rooms. You could tell that the updates the resort has been working on were well worth it.
They have also recently added the Wild & Lime bar/restaurant poolside and that just made the resort perfect with everything we needed. Tim and Chelsea were great bartenders and made us feel so welcome and at home at La Siesta. The bar is only open 11-5 but it had great food and beers for lazy days when we just wanted to lounge at the pool all afternoon.
LOVED that the pool was 24 hours!
Continental breakfast at the pool every morning 8-10 covers all the bases as far as fruit, toast, cereal, yogurt, coffee etc. Loved having it at the pool too because everyone in our party could eat together and make plans for the day.
Andy at the kayak/paddle board stand was awesome! He went above and beyond making sure everyone had a great time and gave us all sorts of good advice of where to go etc.
The grounds were BEAUTIFUL, not a bad view anywhere at the resort. Can't say enough great things about La Siesta Resort.
The Starfish Villa was everything we wanted and more for our wedding ceremony and party to stay at. Tons of room in the house for our wedding party to stay at. The backyard and covered patio were great for everyone to hang out at even when it was raining.
The only down sides to the resort
-there were issues with our reservations but Donna was very accommodating and kind and worked with us to fix them.
All the rooms have a pull out couch but no roll away beds, and didn't stock the rooms with enough pillows/blankets for the pullout but housekeeping helped to fix.
There seemed to be an issue with all the TVs and only about half of them worked in the rooms, but it did encourage us to get outside instead.
They groom the sand early and it is very loud so don't plan to sleep in!response / report this review -

My grandparents have been staying at this hotel for over 40 years. We called and made a reservation for a hotel room on the first floor almost a month in advance since my grandparents can barely walk. When my 92 and 94 year old grandparent went to check in they gave them a room on the second floor, And they could not walk up the stairs or even up the ramp. The front desk claimed that they were booked and could not give them a room on the first floor even though we requested the specific room a month in advance. They had to put their bags back in the car and drive all the way back home. Such a shame.

Donna and the entire staff at La Siesta made my birthday vacation one I will never forget. We came down to Islamorada for a 2 night stay. Everything about our experience was perfect and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The service was friendly, prompt, and accommodating during our entire visit. If you are looking for a place where the staff really does care about you and you are not just another customer, this is the place. It is quaint and beautiful. Thank you sincerely for the exceptional service and great property. We will be coming back for sure!

When I first got to the place, I loved it. However, once I checked in everything changed. I paid a lot of money in order to get a cottage room, right there on the beach. But the one I got was actually a regular suite room in a side building. I explained to them that that was not what I paid for but I was told there were no cottages room available anymore. I stayed there since I didn't want to start looking for something else so once I got the room I went to the pool and tried to relax. How come a POOL BAR closes at 6:00PM? and how come you can't only use the kayaks and the bicycles until 5:00PM when there is sun at least until 8:00PM? Their hours are crazy. Last but not least, if you pay good money to stay in a 4 STAR Hotel, you should expect amenities of a 4 star hotel, but the water pressure of the shower was VERY poor.
I really enjoyed my weekend at the place but there are way too many things that the hotel has to change.response / report this review
