They are remodelling and have in many rooms. Very comfortable, good location, friendly staff and customers conscious front desk staff and management. It was nice to have refrigerator and microwave without having to request one and told maybe you will get one l
I was not sure of what I would get, but I was pleasantly surprised. Clean, modern, and the staff was excellent!!! A lot better than I imagined!
The room was nice and cozy. There was fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, iron, and hair dryer in the room which was very nice. Breakfast was ok. It included sausage, eggs, waffles (you could make them yourself), cereal, bananas, fruit yogurt, coffee, and juice. Also, the staff were very nice and friendly.
The hotel was under construction. No mention of this when the reservation was made. Front desk was in a guest room as was the breakfast area. No coffee available at all. Our room appeared to be newly renovated and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. However, no toiletries except a tiny bottle of shampoo and a bar of soap. No light over sink and vanity. Shuttle to airport was helpful and on time but the driver was not friendly and made us feel like we were an inconvenience.
The hotels 1st floor is in the final stages of renovation which is not inconvenience customers but just looks rough. Rooms have been recently renovated and are quite nice. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Easy to get to on a non-busy street. Lots of dining near by. Easy access to Baltimore
Even though the the first floor was undergoing renovation, our room 403 was great! My girlfriend and I had our anniversary and this hotel was perfect with free of charge on my two dogs! The Continental breakfast was great too, from their delicious Belgium waffles to yogurt and cereals. I must say that it's also close to many attractions like cracker Barrell and a movie theater 2 minutes away. Definitely recommend this place very modern and sleek rooms!
Missed my layover, so the airline put me up here for the night. It's a La Quinta, so I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. At this time, most of the hotel is under construction (the lobby, pool area) so I won't judge them on that. But my room was quite clean and comfortable. The layout is nice and the beds were good. I slept well here. There isn't much toiletries, just shampoo and soap, but for a night, it's all I needed. The shower and hot water worked well, which is a plus.
There was a nice desk which made it easy to do work for this busy business traveler. The best part of this hotel room... FREE WIFI WITH NO PASSWORD - AND IT'S FAST! Was watching 4K videos on YouTube, while getting other tasks done on my computer with no lag. Why can't every hotel make it this easy??
Only knock was that the paint on the shower wall was not done yet in my room, but thats pretty much it. Quite good for a one night stay. Keep this up La Quinta!
Good BWI Airport Hotel for quick morning flights out. Spacious Room, clean, comfortable bed. Looking a little dated but starting renovations. Doubling size of fitness center and other public areas. Breakfast area is small (being expanded with renovation I think) Seemed a bit cramped and hot...but average free breakfast with eggs, sausage, cereal and bread/bagel options. Good value for the money, 30% less expensive than other BWI airport hotels we checked. Outdoor Pool was already closed for the season (looks like its been closed a while). Renovations should make this a very good BWI Hotel option. Lots of local eating options within 5 minutes of hotel. Shuttle to airport was prompt leaving at 20 minutes after the hour and 50 minutes after the hour. We missed our scheduled shuttle departure, but they made an extra run for us 10 minutes early, appreciated the added customer service effort.
My wife is staying here while she waited to take a flight to Guatemala in the morning. I was hanging out in DC but was there so late that I needed to stop and sleep on my way home. Bed was very comfortable breakfast is great in the morning. they were very punctual in their wake up call to get her up for flight and great with their shuttle to take her to the airport. I definitely recommend this hotel for anybody staying near BWI
The bed was comfortable; the staff was super-friendly; The location was great!! Two reasons I can't give this five stars: (1) The pool closes at 8pm, which just seems kind of early to me. The staff told me that the company that manages the pool is subcontracted and it was their rules; still, it hurts the hotel. (2) The shuttle was extremely slow picking us up from the airport. When my family landed, we waited over an hour for the driver to pick up my family and bring us to the hotel. I had to go back to drop off my kids and called the hotel to decide whether or not I should walk back. (Google maps says it's about a 30-minute walk; I was estimating I could do it in 25.) The lady I spoke with told me the driver would be there in about ten minutes, so I waited. I made the phone call at 6:49am and the eventual pick-up was at 7:34. That's 45 minutes, just waiting. (To be fair, the manager of the hotel compensated us for my trouble.)
Rooms are recently remodeled and nice. The location of our room was right near a busy exit, our deadbolt didn't work and the door was difficult to shut so it wasn't ideal.
Hotel is recently renovated, they are still working on some renovation and still have the lobby to complete. I've stayed here more that 5 times this month. With renovations sometimes we are faced with inconveniences, but the staff make you aware at check in. Shuttle runs 24hrs, close to airport, rooms are super nice and new. Breakfast is good. Staff is nice and courteous. Overall, its a great place to stay and will continue to stay at this location. My only complaint is sometimes it seems they are understaffed and I feel bad for the sole front desk agent handling the phones (which rings non stop sometimes) and multiple guest arriving - at the same time.
Location is a very short drive from the airport. The room was the standard double bed with everything one would need for a short stay between flights, including microwave and mini fridge. Staff was great and attentive. Knowledgeable of local food as the only food onsite is breakfast.
I decided to stay at this hotel based on "good" reviews but from the time I tried to make my reservation everything was a bad experience.. I tried to book and pay for a room and their online system is the worst; the system asks you to hold the room with your phone # without allowing to pay and guarantee your room.. after you've done that you are asked to call the hotel with a reservation # that they send you.. when I called the front desk associate told me that I had cancel my reservation and that I had to pay a higher rate since if I still needed a room... I ask to speak to a manager who was able to assist me and got me the room for the original rate.. We arrived to the hotel around 2 in the morning and to our surprise the front desk lady tells us that we don't have a reservation.. and that there was nothing that she could do since the hotel was 100% booked.. she explained that they always over book the hotel and that they always have angry guests with the same situation and that that was the way that corporate run their business.. (wow).... she asked us to drive a few miles down the road to one of their other hotels stating that there would possibly be a chance for us to get a room... ha.... all we wanted after an 8hr drive was the room that we had reserve... after a few minutes of her having us wait she came back saying that they had a room without a sink in case we wanted it... Wow what a great customer service... I just thought that the whole expirience was ridiculous... especially when they are asking $160 for a night. They claim to have a great breakfast which was disgusting, cleaning was the worst I've expirienced, horrible customer service skills and over all bad management....
Manager was polite when I 1st entered the building. Clerk was nice. Once I commented on the appearance of of the place everyone became rude and the Manger told me I can take my business somewhere else. Lady in the kitchen/dinning room area, prepare me food and did not wash her hands. Just a nasty place.
Clearly if they are renovating the place, he could have responded with regards to that and not be rude. place was real dirty. I was surprised. Laquinta is normally really nice.
