  We decided to give this place a shot and it did not disappoint! They brought out some of the most delicious bread I’ve had in my entire life and the food was excellent. French onion was one of my favorites and the chicken parm was cooked to perfection. I cannot wait to go back. Would recommend to anyone looking to give it a shot. Service was also phenomenal. 5 stars.

  La Familia Restaurant, Taunton- Provides an upscale dining experience, blending the best of Italian and Portuguese cuisine! Both the food and cocktails are 5 star, the ambiance is romantic and elegant, yet comfortable for families!! Perfect for special occasions and gatherings! Candles in the dining room and a high end bar make this the PERFECT SPOT for date night!!! Bread is served warm with oil, this is a true hidden gem of Taunton!

  First experience with this restaurant, and it was amazing.
  We did not have a reservation and were able to walk in and be seated relatively quickly, however the tables did fill up shortly after we placed our orders. With that in mind I would suggest either coming before the meal rushes or potentially calling ahead of time for reservations if they have them.
  The server was very helpful in answering all of our questions. He told us the specials of the evening and went into details on how some were prepared. He was very attentive and checked on us often but not overly so. A very pleasant person.
  Our meals consisted of Appetizers, Dinner and Deserts. Each item was good size portions, and very tasty. We would easily order them again. I would fully recommend the carbonara with added grilled chicken, while my husband spoke very highly of the Lamb that was one of the specials.
  There were some minor things that I do not consider a fault of the restaurant but moreso personal preference I will mention to be transparent.
  They serve Pepsi products, but there is some variety. There is also a fair size option of alcoholic beverages.
  The fried calamari was not as crispy as I would have thought, however this was highly likely due to the sauce or potentially other ingredients with the appetizer. It was still very delicious .
  We will definitely be returning to try out many other options we were curious about. Full recommended.

  I have been here twice. (Please make sure to read on to the second experience.) My first experience was a special occasion and a reservation was made. We arrived and were rushed, as the restaurant was closing (even though our reservation 2as made for that time.) The waitress was actually rude to us and upset me greatly.
  
  I always believe in second chances but it took us 4 months to go back. We were greeted by a smiling attentive hostess who sat us promptly. Our waiter was very attentive and because we were made welcome I was able to appreciate the setting. Our wine was delicious and paired well with our pasts meals, which we both enjoyed. We were not rushed, we were not feeling left alone either. Our waiter's attention was perfect, and so we're our meals. I will definitely be going back! Which is why I will always give a place more than one chance!

  Good atmosphere, the vibe was great. Unfortunately we made reservations at 7:15 and apparently it closes early some day. First time there, was not too impressed. Waitress was nice, service was good, loved the glazed salmon.
