Great place for Fall Fun with the entire family! The shop is cute and they have some unique items. The Pumpkin and Apple donuts are amazing! Went there for the first time this year, plan to make this our yearly fall tradition. Have been to many of these pumpkin farms in the area and further, this one is by far the absolute BEST!
Loved this place took my grand daughter. They take you on a hay ride to the pumpkin feild and you can pick out your pumpkins and take them back on the hay ride. They have pony rides for the kids and a huge huge slide. They also have some pretty good apple cider doughnuts.
We come here every year and were so happy, except this year. Went on a Friday, today. First, there is an admission package which was pricey, and not all things were running. Stood at the table with the cash register and admission sign and table for quite some time and had to go find someone to pay. Some of the quarter machines to feed the animals were broken. The staff was not friendly or helpful. At 1:15 We could not get hot chocolate because the concession stand was closed. We loved the small town feel of this place in the past but now it's just like the other overpriced places that are closer to home, but at least have friendly helpful staff and everything in working condition.
It was a lot of fun we didn't find a way out of the big corn maze kids would have a really good time and the apple cider donuts were awesome so was the cider I even had to go buy another donut on the way out it was hot and they just made it white pumpkins red pumpkins green orange I got a white one to make a ghost take the family that are they ain't bad but you can drop some cash but we got pumpkins it would like 40 lb or more
It's a lot different this year. You have to pay a cover charge of $7.00 for children, but they can do everything free except for a few things, such as riding the ponies, doing the throw sling shot, and 1 other thing. Can't remember what it was. They charge adults $5.00 to go in. Which I don't agree with, because we bring the kids and 99% of us just go on the hay ride.
They did put in a new slide for all ages and the kids love it. They still have the lamas, donkey's, goats that you can feed. Didn't see the pigs out there this year.
It's a great family day though. There is a lot of parking and out houses. They do sell food & drinks and all kind of fall things.
Great little pumpkin patch. Take money!
Small but big enough. Not crowded but still busy. Not over priced.
Most pumpkin patches have free attractions but you have to pay for everything here.
Fun place, but all the pumpkins in the patch were rotten, we were charged fir the hayride out there and disappointed by the lack of pumpkins
Very fun little place , Train ride into the cornfield. Tractor ride to the pumpkin patches. Pony rides (I thought very expensive $5.00) Little shop and snack bar in the barn. There was very little straw in the wagon and uncomfortable ride on hard wood over the bumps out to the fields. I thought they should have some bales of hay to sit on. The lady in the snack shop closed early because she had to go to work, so we didnt get a snack.
The old lady that gave pony rides ruined the nice family evening we were having at Kregels. She was rude to me and my children. As I was helping my little girl get off the pony, the lady said "your dad doesn't have a clue, I will get you down" and she grabbed my daughter. I'm pretty sure I can lift my daughter off ponyand what kind of a person tells a 6 year old child that their parent doesn't have a clue???
All else was plesent, but I will probably go to Harvest Time until they get rid of the 65 year old red head lady with the ego issues.
Great place with reasonable prices, unlike basically every spot in Illinois. Also, their donuts are incredible and well worth the cost (still cheaper than another orchard my family went to a few years back). They have animals you can feed, chicks and rabbits for kids to look at, a miniature fall market, hot dogs and nachos that aren't too costly, and a hayride that takes you to their pumpkin field. (If you buy a pumpkin per person then the hayride doesn't cost any extra)
Family is nice. Donuts are amazing. The kids had a great time. We're going again this year.
