I cannot express how kind, professional, and patient Dr Koopman was when we made the tough decision to euthanize our sweet 15-year-old dog. We also want him to be our cats' vet now. Absolutely recommend him!@@
Dr. Koopman was recommended to us by our groomers. We wanted a second opinion on our older cat, Pumpkin. What a gentle and compassionate man. Veterinary Medicine is definitely his calling. He spent time listening to our concerns and did a thorough exam on her. He was honest with us and gave us time to come to our decision. He didn't rush us and was so kind to her and us. She got to leave this world in peace on her favorite perch in the sunshine surrounded with love. We can't say enough good things about Dr. Koopman. It will always be heart-wrenching to let a furbaby go but he made our heavy hearts a bit lighter and we so appreciate his kind manner. We are planning on having him be our vet for our 2 dogs and 5 cats. If you treat your pets like your children, as we do, Dr. Koopman is the one to trust to care for them.
Dr Koopman recently helped us in saying goodbye to our beloved 17 year old minpin. The compassion he showed and the care he gave was so appreciated and very much needed at this time of sadness.
He’s the best 🩵 Don’t even hesitate to call him.
Dr. Koopman was very kind and helped us thru the process of laying our sweet baby to rest. very thankful we were able to do this in our home. Thank you so much for your caring manner 💜
I met him the day he came to my home to help my friend's dad's old dog that I was caring for to ross over the rainbow bridge. He was kind and compassionate. Never made me feel rushed. He lived in Nikki with me and sat there till I was ready. I asked him how he was able to do this kinda thing all the time and his response was so real. He told me it's not easy but it's necessary. He is right & it takes a special person to do what he does. He is a special man, a fabulous vet & I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone. Thanks to him this sweet old girl left this earth pain free & with her dignity.
R.I.P Sweet Nikki
Such a caring soul! Dr. Koopman made the process much easier. He was out the same day I talked to him. Thank you again Dr. Koopman
Excellent service and knowledgeable. Was able to address our cat needs same day.
Very compassionate and caring during a very difficult time for our family. Thank you Dr. Koopman for being here in our time of need.
In Villa Rica we have a small goat farm with 4 dogs (2 livestock guard dogs, 2 indoor dogs) and 6 cats (2 indoor, 4 outdoor) .
Veterinarian care can be major headache and crazy expensive. I have lost a lot of trust in the Vets with the huge facilities and large staff. A simple problem for one animal can easily cost hundreds of dollars as they layer the test, X-rays and expensive drugs. Cost have soared for even basic vet trips in the past 20 years.
Dr Koopman drove from Dallas to our house, and examined 5 animals. He made a Dermatolgy recommendation for one, took a blood test for another and gave him a needed shot. The other three animals he said to continue what we were doing as treatment for some mild conditions they were experiencing. (With the Goats and other animals, we have learned a bunch about basic animal medical care, and regularly order non prescription medications as needed online or buy directly at Tractor Supply)
I am sure our regular vet would have recommended a full work up on each of the five animals. Maybe if you have one or two animals that you love like children that is the right call. But with a 25 acre farm with a bunch of animals it is not affordable for most. (We once spent $6000 on a pug skin allergy, but had fewer animals)
Dr Koopman listen to what we thought, gave great advice, charged a fair price, was very caring but reasonable as far as testing and medicines. In our case his estimate was actually less than his final bill, but I knew it could have been higher if problems were found.
Unlike my recent vet visits, I did not feel like I was dealing with a business that had drive up my cost in order to do $25,000 a month just to break even while paying their rent and meeting payroll.
I highly recommend his services.
My husband and I were having a difficult time taking our much love dog to the vet to be euthanized. Fred Trout at Pets In Peace (who we also recommend highly) suggested we call Dr. Koopman. We were so impressed and like others have said he has a gift. Having done this several times I can say Dr. Koopman was by far the most compassionate.
Best experience we have ever had. Our dogs usually get very scared once they see the vet office door. With Dr Koopman they had no idea they even had a vet visit or got shots or blood drawn, they were excited for a new person to pet them. Highly recommend him.
This vet was born to do what he does. He helped us euthanize our dog Corky a couple of weeks ago. He was so gentle and empathetic and calming and professional. One million times better experience than we had in the past putting a dog down. We are forever grateful. He made such a sad thing, bearable because we knew Corky had the best most loving care in her last moments here with us.
Was very impressed to meet him, he came to my home, did vaccinations for my Tiger Kitty that was sick and my puppy that needed her yearly shots, by far the most caring personable animal friendly vet I have ever met, I would not hesitate to recommend him to any one, he services All of Paulding county and Cobb and all the way to Roswell, I will never let anyone else treat my animals, with out a doubt the most professional vet I have ever met. I am very very skeptical when it comes to vets, this guy is amazing. My name is Patrick Idol, I endorse him completely.
