The absolute best beef ribs in Maryland! And that smoked turkey, OMG! If you are looking for the most authentic smoked experience, this is the place to go!!!!
This place is additive. Food is great here. I especially love the green beans, collard greens and corn bread. Yes, the green beans and collard greens are a little greasy, but they have a great smoked taste, a lot like soul food. I love the corn bread; it is so moist you do not need butter.
I think this is one if the better BBQ places in town. Mission BBQ doesn't hold up to here. Love the different meat selections and the wings are large for the total amount.
Came for dinner really excited If you want real smoked bbq go to Hideaway
Appetizer:
Pork belly deviled eggs- crispy pork belly pieces on top of tiny bland deviled eggs. I could only taste the pork belly.
5 naked wings- didn't taste smoked at all. Seemed like they were just grilled to a burnt crisp. But very tender and juicy.
Main:
Trip tips were okay, pulled pork was okay- kind of like mission BBQ. The Carolina sauce was tasty.
He got ribs- burnt, not tender, didn't have a smoked taste. He was disappointed.
I was disappointed because it was listed as a top ten place to eat in Laurel. Maybe we ordered the wrong things but I highly disagree.
I was visit here on the Tuesday 26 September. My wife and little ones here for first visit. All very nice time and good nice service by Annie. Or maybe was Amy, yes!
We were have the bread pudding which is favorite in my country and the Nutella offered of very good taste!
Thank you for nice dinner from all of us!!
I don't know how they got all these great reviews.
Fried green tomatoes were not fully cooked and flavorless. Box that.
The juicy brisket was tough in spots. Box that.
Spicy sausage burnt on one side. Pork was nice. Green beans were nice. Mission bbq is better. I did like the atmosphere.
The food is fantastic. We loved eating here. The meat had so much flavor and the cornbread was the best I ever had. Everything down to the brousel sprouts packed a lot of flavor.
My wife and I went here on Thursday evening because some friends had been here. This was our first visit and we weren't sure but the parking lot was packed so that was a good sgn. Our server greeted us with a great smile and suggested a beer flight as there were many choices on the menu. She also recommended the brisket and i took her up on it. My wife had the barbecue plate but had to keep sampling the brisket since it was very lean.
Our server (Amy) teased her about not getting the brisket and had such a great personality too. So many times waitstaff is inattentive or uninformed, but she was a pro! It was busy but she was managing several tables and seemed personable with all.
The meal was very enjoyable and the atmosphere was relaxed even on a busy night. Too bad the parking is a little tight, but after Amy's service I give it a 5 star rating!
I've got to give this place 5 stars. My wife and I came here on a whim and were not disappointed. Being from MS, I was wanting some real barbecue. And this place has it. The burger was great. The wings were awesome. Everything has that authentic smoke flavor. I will definitely be returning.
Food is great and so is the service. A nice neighborhood feel, warm and inviting. Lots of different choices so you never get bored. If you go, you have to get the hand dipped ice creamyum!
Great little BBQ house with a killer whiskey selection. The food was delicious; I particularly enjoyed the smoked wings. Cozy atmosphere and a friendly staff. If you're not into booze, they got a nice sweet tea too. The hallmark of any real BBQ joint.
Great BBQ. Great beer and drink selection + beer growlers. Good for the whole family and watching sports events. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the area.
Only complaint I've ever had was the choice to go all-in with the country music, but that's just a personal preference, and I suppose BBQ joints need to have country music :)
Great selection of bourbon whiskey, maybe around a hundred. Price no bargain, paid $17 for a flight of 3 1oz servings. Found a good one though. The pork balls were a little mushy, but went down easy enough.
Great BBQ and an awesome selection of draft craft beer. Also, if you're into it, there are monitors showing sports wallpapering the circumference of the 2 main rooms, two of which are YUUUGE!! (multiple screens showing each of a variety of athletic events at a given time, so you'll likely to be able to view what you want on one TV or another no matter where you're sitting)
