An older single story motel with 21 units directly on the town harbor ( Lake Superior ). Owned by 3 sisters who take care of you like family. Have stayed here in excess of 21 days on weekend vacations.
This is NOT a luxury unit; this is a small- town motel for active people who will not be staying in the room all day.response / report this review -

Not happy .
Was lied to about being promised an early arrival and did not have my room ready at 2:20 pm and was told it would be ready in half hour which is a whole 10 minutes early arrival after driving 11 hours. .
Normal check in is 3pm so no early arrival.
Not on the water as promised.
Put me as far away from the water as possible.
I have not even been able to see my room yet but wanted money.
I have been planning this for quite a while for my son's 21st birthday and they already screwed up my trip.response / report this review -

Super helpful and kind owners and staff. View of the lake is unbeatable. If you are taking the ferry to Isle Royale, it is right next to the departure point. Cute rooms, very retro chic! Close to trails and everything you would like to see in town.

Nice lady helped me check in. Nice place. Great location. A bit dated but clean, friendly and location, location, location. Wanted a king bed and got one and it was not the best but not the worst and had a great nights sleep. Will definitely be back. The bathroom was spotless as was the carpeting and the bedding was soft and comfy. Very quiet spot. I stayed here one night and moved to another place just for variety and I should have stayed put because there was no comparison. Beautiful area and awesome views from this place.
