Went with my wife on a brisk November morning. The trails were in great shape. Easy and fun trail for a 1-2 hour hike. Beautiful scenery!
I grew up in Milwaukee and spent several weekends going to that lake, as well as visiting in many other areas. We went on vacation up farther North in the Eagle river,, kewaskum and Sayner area as well as big saint Germaine and little st. Germain.we stayed at a Place called KASOMO LODGE and stayed in a cabin 2weeks every summer. Ate at the Hubba Hubba Lodge jus down the road from our cottage/cabin. It was owned by the Anderson family. The dad and son took care of everything and also had a business with that as hunting and fishing guides. A lot of good memories. I would like to see that area again sometime. I am living in Colorado Springs CO now. Kathryn Zurstadt -(malachowski/roever)
We did the backpack camping sites over a weekend. There were no issues with the rangers. The parking fee was a little much, but overall it was a great trip.
Nice lake, perfect for kayakers. Good playground to keep ur little ones busy after the swim
Nice place for a quick hike. Definitely not the most scenic state park in Wisconsin though.
Great place for a day at the beach, a great hike or bike or go to the 1350' elevation observation tower. What a great view! Will go again.
Great lake. Lots of hiking available. Beautiful park. Dog beach!!!!❤
Well maintained, nice, wide paths. Good easy hike. Tall observation tower that over looks the lake
Close to home, kids love the options of hiking in the hills or flatter trails down by the lake, a decent swimming area and several trails worth biking on. Not much area for dogs, but they've improved it with a specific beach just for them.
It's a great place to hike with a pet or spend time with family. Great lake views
A beautiful place to go in the fall and the camping area is well set up with everything you need to enjoy your trip.
Wonderful lake. Nice place to spend a day with kids. Near Milwaukee.
One of our favorite hikes with beautiful views. Trails are well maintained and easy to hike. The view from the tower is stunning. On a clear day you can see for miles and the tree colors are breath taking in the fall. I would consider this trail kid and dog friendly. I also highly recommend getting a yearly park pass cause you will be back.
