If I could give a review with no stars I would. I'm sorry to the other departments but my experience with a vehicle registration renewal was so bad that a I had to give it this rating. To those in management please do your best to hire a better quality of person to interact with the public.

County clerk office for vehicles: The only way this location compares to the Covington location is in whatever they are legally required to do. This place is so much better than the other office. There was no line when I came in and I didn't have to wait for someone to ask what I needed.

The other location I walk in and they're is no line, but I end up waiting for 5 minutes for someone to call me over.

The woman that helped me smoked and made eye contact, like a human being, and I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. It took me longer to find the office then it did too actually take care of my business. I'll go out of my way to go to this location rather than the other one!

This place should be shut down. Nowhere is it more difficult to comply with the law than here and the sentiment in the line was borderline violent with frustration. I myself have been forced into a choice when it came to re-registering my car after moving. I could either renew registration in a state I no longer live or just not transfer. After two lost days of work trying to make this happen I give up.

Actually the hours are as follows:
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - 8:30 - 4:00
Wed - 8:30 - 6:00
**They do not close for lunch, however, they will be half staffed around lunch time which could make it a little more busy/take longer if anyone decides to go during that time. The Covington Courthouse has the same hours as the Independence Courthouse.

I called, the hours are 8:30-4:30pm mon, tues, thurs, fri. On wed, its 8:30-6pm.
