I love it! So quiet!
This is a great public library in an historic building. From A to Z there's sure to be a book for everyone. The children's section is great with fun events, and great staff. There are rooms available for community events.
The library itself is quite nice. I had no problem finding a quiet place to work. This is more of a Montpelier problem than a library problem, but I find it very difficult to find a place to park when I go here. There are lots of metered spaces in front of and next to the library, but they are strictly-enforced 2-hour only spaces. Libraries are places many people go to spend more than 2 hours, so it would be nice if those library-adjacent spaces had a longer time limit.
Great library. Great children's library.
A wonderful place! Libraries are awesome and should be utilized by everyone. The more education you have the better choices you will make. Education doesn't need to come from school it can. but learning can also happen anywhere libraries are a great place to start
The staff are awesome--friendly, helpful in the extreme and obviously doing what they love. Recent changes the floor plan in terms of use of space are great improvements to the old layout. The mystery book section is superb. However, the computer system is clunky and not helpful.
Great quiet place to read. Nice on-going book sale in foyer. Fine selection of books and magazines. Lots of good locally offered programs here at library.
Wonderful building, great staff, and a nice collection.
Wonderfully large library, I'm always able to find a quiet book to study or read when needed. Live that they have a great children's room on it's own floor too.
This library is becoming a TUTOR center for paid tutors to use to tutor young students. They talk and talk What is becoming of this library? Can't they go use another facility to do their business elsewhere? Pretty soon with the economy doing what it is, new age healers and counselors will start doing there therapy sessions in the library to save on cost. However, I am sure that the senior staff at the library will not mind- nothing appears to bother them and they avoid putting in any effort into making the library a quiet place for all to enjoy. I want to make this issue public- if you do not believe then go to the library yourself after school time and see and hear it for yourself. Anywhere there is an open table there will be a paid tutor and their student- this REALLY needs to stop!
