Attended a few events here (the flow and garden show, a dog show). Huge building, lots of floorspace, nice restrooms.
The zabonie driver is terrible and is a detriment to anything ice related.
Kansas Expo-Center should screen there vendors for mannerism to paying customers. Very disrespectful when I asked for a dollar off a light up cup. Then a security staff name Jone comes and attempts to grab my arm for which she has no reason to touch me. This has to be taken further up the chain. My grandson did enjoy himself. The citizens is what makes vendors successfully and their attitude should measure up to standards. Attitude should be 100% positive no matter what.
A very short time later, I spoke with Donna the Director of Finance at the KS Expocentre. She took the time to here of my concerns, so I hope the recognition is to raise the standards to all patrons with a satisfying experience. Thanks Donna for your response and I hope to here from "Garden Bros Circus". Raised to 3 star.
Here for state wrestling, in the pouring rain. The doors where open and we ran as fast as we could to the nice warm building. Once we got in a lady informed us (very rudely might I add) that we must walk all they way around the building in the pouring rain to pitches tickets. There was no sign, or any warning that we couldn't purchase any tickets just two open door.
I have 1 complaint. I utilize seating in the ADA section of the arena and despite the fact that for regular seating, literally right next to the ADA platform, the tickets are $26 but one seat over, on the ADA pad, tickets are $46. I, along with my doctor, believe this is discriminatory and it will be getting looked into.
It was awesome for Equifest! Lots of room.
I only go to the Expo Ctr for the gun shows which are always very good to excellent. Typically the dealer tables near the entrance/exit are "always" over-priced (as they generally are at most gun shows) and should be your last stop prior to departure. Additionally it would most certainly be nice if there were a lot less (or none) dealers/sellers at these KS Expo Ctr gun shows who hawk unrelated - and usually over priced - items such as paperback books, used clothing, general household things and in some cases, just plain old junk etc.
However, all and all I find the majority of dealers/sellers at these Kansas Expo center gun shows to be very polite, honest and professional people, many of whom I have dealt with a number of times over the period of many years.
Has good shows, usually very clean. But parking is a nightmare.
