The place is nice and pretty. It's a nice place to take a walk or short bike ride. If you on the loop around the field it's half a mile. It will get very busy when baseball, soccer or other youth sports are going on. They used to have different sport and activity lessons at the rec. center but they haven't since COVID. They have been doing the Kailua Summer Fun programs though. Also the pool is open right now but space is limited and it's for lap swimming only. The tennis courts, basketball courts, skatell park, and playground are all open now. The only drawback is the homeless but they aren't to much of a problem here. Hope you enjoy.

Waiting to eat at Cinnamon's. Took the kids over to the park to walk and play on the playground. Lots of people playing tennis and swimming in the pool. Nice little park. Could use a little more water on the grass to make it green but who is going to blame them for that. Overall nice little green space in the middle of Kailua.

This playground is not meant to be for toddlers, that is a shame and very frustrating for parents with young children. There are a lot more toddlers on the playground during the day than older children, because they are at school. There is No district playground in the area that is fun and safe for toddlers. There is a skate park for older children, a pool for older children and adults. There are plenty of tennis courts for older children and adults but NOTHING for children from 2 - 5 years old.

Great park to bring your children to. Very busy with activities in the gym, fields, and courts. Outside bathrooms need brightening up and better maintenance. Gym is well-maintained.

Nice park to come to when watching kids games. Parking lot off of Kailua road has ample parking spaces but if there is a game then spaces can be tight. You can park in lot across field off of Kainalu drive but then it can be a bit of a walk especially if you have allot to tote around. You could illegally park on the grass as I see other patrons doing or you could park in one of the nearby shopping center lots but just watch out for their security. There is a Times Supermarket within walking distance as well as other eateries, book shops, nail salons, etc if you get bored. The park does provide some shade but not much so bring your umbrellas and chairs. The bathrooms are conveniently located right at parking lot entrance and are usually open and functional. Have fun!
