Julius is a great place. Not sure who made the mistake of hiring WILL the "so called cook". It's not hard to wear a smile.

Treat Bill and Tracy like family - they are. Wonderful place and the only calm #gay bar in #NYC.

"Sure, it's a gay bar, but this dingy, loose-hinged old survivor is still more masculine than 90 percent of the straight bars in America. If Eugene O'Neill and Tennessee Williams were drinking"

For the older crowd (average age last night was around 55), but fun, casual, non-cruisy, with seating and a 80's jukebox.

Established as bar 1864 in building from 1826. Allegedly oldest Greenwich Village bar and oldest gay bar (since 1950s). Site of gay activist 'sip ins' in the 1960s.

Make sure to peruse the sepia photos of Broadway greats lining the walls at this theater type haunt, also the oldest gay bar in NYC.

Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. Sure, it's a gay bar, but this dingy old survivor is more masculine than 90 percent of the straight bars in America.
