Nice park, very steep hike. Didn't finish the trail because the path was very wet and rocky that day. Also, the bathrooms were closed! Beautiful mountain drive.

If around the area you should stop. Dress for a hike if you want to get to the big trees.

Saturday morning Hike. Perfect time to spend a beautiful morning in the woods at Joyce Kilmer. I have hiked Joyce Kilmer many times. It is so relaxing to hike there.

I enjoy this place, huge beautiful forest looks untouched by human hand. One trail was closed due to fire in 2016. We camped at horse cove campground.

Such a beautiful hike. The lower loop was closed when we were there but the spring flowers on the upper loop were gorgeous. It was a wonderful place to spend an entire morning.

I guess I was expecting a lot more large trees! I'm from Florida, and the average oak tree there put these 'large' trees to shame. Nice walk, peaceful, quiet, love nature etc. but don't expect to see a large number of huge sequoia level trees. Maybe 10-20 decent size (approx 5' - 8' diameter) trees.

Gorgeous untouched forest. This is the actual forest that you see the ideal pictures of. It's a decent hike. Note: outhouses only and no chance of cell service.
