I just love this place. Denise is so awesome. All their wines are really good and they're green.
We went for the local wine and food pairing which was only $14 to sample 8 wines with local organic food. The place is clean and staff was nice, attentive and helpful. There is a nice outdoor area with tables and a fire pit. The parking lot is gravel apt with the last bit of road on the way to the winery. We spent around 2 hours there with the first hour doing the tasting and the last hour enjoying a bottle of wine outside. It was less than $50 total for a fun afternoon which is totally worth the drive.
Unexpected stop on an unexpected journey. We loved the atmosphere. Our attendant was super nice and very attentive. The wine was also delicious! It's tucked away in Platte County, but worth the drive!
Love this winery! Denise, who I met when she was at the Weston Winery, is always so pleasant and so glad we got to see her again not knowing she moved over to the Jowler location. The atmosphere is quaint and perfect when you want to relax. If its a nice day, you can sit outside on the benches or take a short stroll around the grounds. Thank you Denise for the wonderful service and great wine!
Quaint little winery off the beaten path! Jason was awesome on the hayride tour of the farm and his daughter Addison was quite versed (for being a 10 year old)! Loved the family oriented farm feel, loved the sheep, chickens and farm dog - absolutely added to the small town feel! Kudos, all the way around!
What a wonderful place! We were helped by Denise and she made the experience so enjoyable for us. She was very knowledgeable on the wine and very helpful. The gift shop is too cute! Many options for fun items and they even sell fresh eggs. Love this place!
Great experience! We stopped in for a friends birthday and Denise greated us as we came in. She gave us awesome service! The 3 of us tried the 5 wine sample ($5 and included a take-home wine glass, how cool is that?). Denise gave good information about the wine and even let us sample the desert wine with chocolates. The venue has a great outdoor area (it was rainy so we didn't utilize it but it was still adorable). We will definitely be back!
I went to this place back in 2013 and I loved it. They were very informative during the tasting, we got a good amount of samples, and the wine was great. We had a tour of the area and it was beautiful. Wish I could go again but I live far away now.
Very nice place, quiet and peaceful, no rush atmosphere. Sampled all 8 wines. Hannah was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. And you even get to take your wine glass home after sampling! Will definitely visit again!
Friendly no rush atmosphere. Quiet and secluded. Well manicured location. 8 varieties of wine. Hannah was great and went above and beyond to answer my questions.
We enjoyed the wine and also really enjoyed hearing about the green technologies used at the vineyard. We enjoyed it so much we visited on our way down to and our way back from Kansas City. You really should stop here!
Sat outside and enjoyed beer at a picnic table. There was a local cat and dog who (in my opinion) added to the experience. I didn't have the wine but my friends said it was really good. There was a slight bee problem outside but all in all, it was a great experience.
Our group visited Jowler Winery for wine tasting on a Saturday night. We felt the winery offered a great atmosphere, but fell short for wine and food quality.
Good setting. Jowler Creek Winery is set among a wonderful landscape of rolling hills and farms approximately 20 minutes East of Weston. Their tasting room in located in what appears to be a nicely converted barn that offers a great atmosphere with several tables and a small bar. We attended on a Saturday night when the tasting room was full and lively, but still provided our party with a comfortable atmosphere. Jowler also has outdoor seating which is complimented with live music on Saturday nights.
Mediocre Wine. Our party tried the sampler. We didn't think any of the wines were bad, but nothing caught our attention. We found most of the wines to be generally too sweet or dry, but this is obviously just a matter of our taste, as many other groups were buying bottles - just our preference.
Food Options. I was let down with their food options. Obviously Jowler Winery isn’t a restaurant, and only offers food to supplement wines, but I expected more for the $21 Meat, Cheese, and Bread bucket. I think the bucket is a novel concept and fits the atmosphere, but I found the cheese and meat to be generally tasteless and bland, and didn’t complement the wines.
Overall Jowler Winery has a nice atmosphere but I think it falls short for wines and food.
What an annexing experience! The owners and staff truly go above all expectations! They are a self-sustaining farm (bat houses, chickens, sheep) and so proud of it! Whether hit stopping in for a tasting or one of the many events they host (wine and craft night, food pairing, holiday events, movie night, live music.)you are going to have a phenomenal time.
