I had an amazing and wonderful experience at Journal Square Dental with Dr. Rickerby and the dental assistant, Marylyn. As soon as I walked in the reception staff greeted me with a smile and knew my name. Everyone was so warm and friendly, completely debunking the horrific stereotypes of dentist offices. The reception team assisted me with everything I needed before and after my appointment. They kindly answered my questions and set me up with my next appointment. They really set the tone for how the entire experience. The dental assistant, Marylyn was so nice and kind when doing my appointment. I was a little nervous before coming but she made me laugh, smile, and feel completely relaxed. She also answered all my question and gave me great recommendations to keep my teeth healthy and pretty. I am incredibly grateful to her. Dr. Rickerby was equally as fantastic. He has an incredibly warm personality and bed-side manner. He equally made me feel comfortable and I felt I could trust his knowledge and recommendations for my teeth.

Moving to a new area I was worried I would have to search for a while for a dentist I would like. Journal Square Dental with Dr. Rickerby has exceed my expectations and I am happy to say, in one try, I found my dental home. I absolutely recommend this dentist office to anyone looking for a dentist and wonderful experience.

In a world where sugar and sweets dominate our
way of life. Helpless to our habits in which we struggle to control. We fall to our knees and submit to all powerful cravings futile in resistance. But all is not lost, one man and his crew stands to fight the evils that lurk in our oral cavity. That man is Dr. H Rickerby, first of his name, King of Dentist, father of fluoride, and protector of cavities and all things not good in the mouth. He is the hero we deserve and need. Many of his accomplishments will go unnoticed, but the people the people will know what you have done for them, and they will cheer your name. A toast with a cup of mouthwash and a rinse and spit. To you all!

It's very sad to write this review but i have to do,
I visited this place for just one teeth sensitivity just to check it up, I am an international student here in USA having Discount savings plan from Cigna.
Initially A lady doctor asked me few questions about pre conditions of dental or medical issues, Later on she took x rays of all teeth which I'm ok with it. Moving on she didn't say anything about Cleaning part & how much will it cost for me. They know i don’t have an insurance so at-least who should have told me for courteous. I guess they thought they can give a bill what ever they want, Sorry to say but that's what happened. You should have informed me before doing each thing that gonna cost a patient who has no insurance & visiting first time to your hospital. As a international student we don’t know the procedures here, It's Very hard to think about what happened on that day.
Here's the procedure they have done, they billed me for xray, prophylaxis check(i didn’t ask them), pre diag test, Topical floride, Comprehensive oral eval. Total bill they gave in my hand $321. I left with only tears, No words to say !
Never gonna come here or suggest anyone this hospital, I felt like you guys are money minded.

Dr. Rickerby is by far the most conscientious dentist I've ever seen. Pleasant, personable and somehow, with his big hands, he gracefully does his work. I've had two complex and yet painless extractions with Dr. Rickerby. My first happy dental experience. Thank you!

All dental and medical practices need to follow Journal Square Dental's customer service procedures. From beginning to end everyone at the office was incredibly nice. When I called to set up an appointment for the first time and they referred to it as an "opportunity" which is a different way to think about scheduling a routine appointment. My dental hygienist Stephany was so sweet. She really took the time to explain what she was doing and to answer any questions that I had. She was very welcoming and very warm which made the visit seem a lot easier to get through. Natalia came in to take my x-rays and she was careful to not hurt me in the process and was also just very kind and patient. Dr. Rickerby was also really good about explaining things to me and clarifying if I had any questions. I definitely recommend this practice to anyone for any type of procedure because their staff will take care you.
