Took the Home Inspection course at Jc
Taught by Charles Bellefontane and Corey Friedman of The Bellman Group Northbrook , Il.
Instructors made a tedious and complicated course very enjoyable
I passed the State Exam on first try
Highly recommend these instructors and the course

Now that I've transferred on to a real school, I can really see how inadequately prepared I am thanks to the quality of instruction at JJC. Only a handful of the professors I had did a acceptable job. Only one did a fantastic job.
I'm constantly having to go back and teach myself things that JJC blatantly left out. I kept all of my notes, homework, and quizzes from all of my previous JJC classes, and refer to them often when I get stuck in my current classes. NEVER is it of any help because the material I need, we didn't go over at JJC. I'm in Calculus classes now that don't allow graphing calculatorsall of the math classes I took at JJC required graphing calculators, and we used them so frequently that I sincerely feel it hindered the learning process.
JJC also closes it's campus for "emergencies" which is usually anything over 3" of snow. There are no make up days whatsoever. If your class cant fit in the material you missed during the emergency days, you don't get to learn itwhich should be illegal. I've also had professors here cancel class for multiple personal reasons. Say you had two snow days, and 2 cancellations due to instructor "personal issues". That's well over a week of class time (that you paid a lot of money for) gone! That's typically equivalent to 3-5 sections of material that will be squeezed into the tight remainder of the semester, or crossed off the syllabus completely.
I had a Chem professor just up and leave the country for the remainder of the semester, two weeks before the final. This type of stuff is completely unacceptable.
I honestly feel that If I began my education at a school other than JJC, I would have a firmer grasp on the material, and the confidence to back it up.
Avoid Joliet Junior Collegethey just want your money.

Great school with a wide variety of subjects and programs to choose from. I travelled 85 miles to take a certificate program and I have NO regrets. I received the certificate and appreciate the staff and instructors that I came in contact with.
