This guy totally screwed us. He put NO effort into our case. He seemed to only want to get the case over with and get paid. HE DEFENDED OUR OPPONENT IN THE COURTROOM TWICE!!! My stepdaughter's biological donor would not even acknowledge her existence until she was 18 months; he now has partial custody and uses her to harass and attack my now wife. He's a textbook narcissist and John did NOTHING to defend my family from him. He convinced there was nothing we could do and just needed to accept it. The judge only made the bio dad pay backed child support from the date he filed for custody and not from her birth; John did nothing about this. The judge noted that bio dad quit his job and went to a lower paying one two weeks before court but still based the child support based on his current income; again, John did nothing about this. John basically handed my stepdaughter over to the man that originally wanted her aborted, and now only uses her as a means of upsetting my family. ALL THE SUFFERING MY FAMILY IS CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH I BLAME ON THIS MAN. NEVER HAVE I SEEN A FAMILY PRACTICE LAWYER SO LAZY AND UNCARING!!! And then he had the NERVE to send us a letter to notify us that he's increasing his fees if we hired him again!

EDIT: You must have faulty memory, because this is a real and true story most definitely about you and not any other lawyer or from "just an angry husband."

John Barrett went above and beyond for my daughter. She found herself in a terrible predicament due to being irresponsible. He was still able to help her, even though it was last minute on a Friday. He went completely out of his way to do what he could. I can't even express our thanks and appreciation for his time and support. I truly felt like he cared about my daughter. John is awesome! Payed this guy 400$ to do nothing . all I wanted was him to make my case settled with no probation. He claim that that was physically impossible and I was just going to have to take it on the chin because I'm the one that messed up. he did little to no research into my case and put absolutely no effort. ended up firing Mr Barrett after going to court 3 times he just kept continuing it. After barrett i ended up going with Jeffrey Jones. he had very good reviews. first court appearance I had with Jones as my lawyer settled the case with no problems and no probation. Witch barrett claimed was impossible. do not recommend this lawyer to anyone if I were you I would save the hassle.

This man really did save me in a long divorce case. He really fought for me and my personal belongings and tried his best to win the case, and he did! I couldn't be happier to be out of then terrible relationship I was in, but he really helped me with what I needed. Mr. Barrett was kind and respectful and his law firm helped me out with my case very quickly.
