I was there for the Maryland Crab Cakes because I am from the Baltimore Maryland area. I was born and raised in that area and was looking forward to a Maryland Crab Cake. I ordered Snow crab legs and the crab cakes. The snow crab legs were fine but the crab cakes were not. They had crab meat inside of them but they didn’t have any flavor that would indicate that they were from Maryland. So I have to give them a very negative report on the Crab cakes

I have eaten here before and the seafood is very good as well as the service, but today I ordered "filet mignon stuffed with crab meat" (which is how it reads on the menu). Well they over cooked my filet and the "crab meat" was a crab cake. I did let the waitress know that my steak was over cooked and she did have them make me a new one, but that was the worst filet I have ever had. It had gristle all through it and was tough. So in the future I will be sticking with the seafood there. Lesson learned. I guess I should have known not to order a steak at a seafood place. Overall though Jewel City is a great place.

Best seafood that I have ever had inland! This restaurant is an awesome little hidden gem of Huntington. If you love seafood and can't make it to the beach, this restaurant is the next best thing. Reasonably priced, great customer service, and cozy atmosphere. And it didn't hurt that they had Jimmy Buffet as the dinner music! Highly recommend!

Such great food always fresh and yummy. The oysters are always a fav add in the crab legs and it's a little slice of heaven. Staff is friendly, I have never left being unsatisfied or full. If you love seafood you will enjoy this little "jewel" tucked in a quaint little shop with many treasures from the sea to chose from.

Both dine-in restaurant and a seafood market for take home. Great selections. Weekly specials. Good atmosphere. Best seafood selections we have found for the Huntington West Virginia region.

I ordered the blackened Mahi Mahi, which was excellent. The rest of the meal was only average at best. The Cesar salad was the worst part of the meal - skip the Cesar salad when visiting. The atmosphere is nice, almost just like you stepped off off of the beach and the service was great. If I was writing this review based only on the Mahi Mahi, I would have given four or possibly five stars, but the overall experience only warrants a 3-star rating.

The food here is not bad. However it doesn't coincide with the pricing. Whatever you do don't dress up because it's definitely not a ritzy place.

Best place in town for seafood. Used to be just a seafood market until they started cooking the seafood. Freshest seafood around without driving to the beach.

They know seafood and do it right! I always get the same thing: blackened tuna, red beans & rice and collard greens. It's always great. We also get onion rings as a appetizer. You would think they are baked instead of fried because there's no grease! Great service also. In the case up front there's plenty of fresh seafood to take home and cook yourself.
