I have heard good things about Jessie Rae’s BBQ for a couple years now and decided to give it a try for the first time. Ordered half rack spare ribs and 2lbs of brisket which came out to a little over $70. I see why this place gets such good reviews, the ribs were flavorful and the most tender I’ve ever eaten and the bbq sauce was good. The brisket was great as well, tender and great taste as well. Will definitely come back to get food here again.
I’m from Texas and of course we Texans know good BBQ. The Mac n Cheese was creamy and flavorful. Not a fan of Cole Slaw at all. The BBQ sauce was okay. The Brisket was tender. Small seating area and they were busy on a Friday morning.
If i could give them 10 stars, i would!
Definitely a place to come back every time we visit Las Vegas.
The Girl Power is amazing inside and out!
We order the Fortress (feeds 2 GIANTS)
We are having left overs, Everything taste great!
Awesome BBQ!!! Brisket was delicious and juicy, pulled pork was tender and flavorful, sauces were unique and great!
We had the Household of Three that had brisket, pulled pork, and hot links smashed between two buns. The loaded waffle fries, and then The Fortress. The Fortress was something that would be straight off of the Food Network Channel. It was a work of art. A rack of ribs surrounding a pot of waffle fries, pulled pork and Mac and cheese topped with some hot links. This is called the fortress because it could feed an army. Place was amazing, staff was great, the wait was nonexistent. The only SLIGHT knock was tho the ribs were delicious, they were a tiny bit dry. But not enough to complain because the sauces made up for it.
Solid BBQ place you can’t miss if you’re in Vegas.
Being from Texas normally I would not get BBQ in Las Vegas but I came in to get the Fortress as it is a very unique item you can't find anywhere else.
First off this item is way bigger than it looks in pictures. It is a lot of food. Most photos only show the item as it looks when it first comes out, not "unpacked" when you empty the contents inside of the rack of spare ribs so I provided some pictures to show what that looks like.
I was able to finish it all by myself but the waitress told me she has been working there 3 years and sells about 25 of them per day and I was the 3rd person she has ever seen that has been able to eat it all solo. She said regularly that 2 or 3 grown men will come in and order it and won't be able to finish it together. To be fair I am training for a full Ironman and had come in to eat straight off an 85 mile bike ride and 6 mile run that I had already done that day.
The brisket and sausage were very good by the Texas BBQ standards I am accustomed to, and the sauces were good. The spare ribs were also good. I'd love to come back and try the Waffle Fries and Mac and Cheese standalone.
Overall the Fortress was a very unique item and worth coming in. I came by on the Friday before Labor Day around 2pm, and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but it was worth it.
