The last couple times I got takeout burgers here, the flavor was terrible--tasted overwhelmingly of garlic, and little else, with little to no salt--and gave me a stomach ache. The bottoms of the buns were wet and mushy in the takeout container each time. The meat does not taste quality, which is disappointing for a $10 burger. The burgers are always cooked more than what I ask for, also, though perhaps that was not a bad thing given my concerns about the product. I gave Jak's a second and third chance, but I don't think I'll go back again.

The food is pretty good (can't go wrong with a grilled cheese cheeseburger) but the service is slow. I had to leave last time I was there because there were several patrons going on about how homosexuals "shouldn't flaunt it." Is it unfair to judge a place by its bigot patrons? Maybe, especially considering the area, but I haven't had that at other restaurants.

I can't say enough about how great this place is. Very friendly staff and the place feels very relaxed. Must go and try their burgers they are amazing.
