This is one of the few RV parks along this stretch of interstate. If you need an overnight stop it's fine. The staff was very nice and walked us to our site. The sites are level, gravel. The hookups are easy. The road in may give you pause but it's really fine.
The only negative was it's just about a 100 yds from the back of a truck stop and the trucks have to back into their parking spaces. The result is that "beep, beep, beep" noise at various times during the night.
Oh, and the owner of the site is still in the 1900's. No online reservations (call), no credit card (cash) and no WiFi.
Told us pull through were 75 ft long. They were barely 60. Rv and carrier hung out on both ends. One star for full hook up and 1 star for price. 3rd star because Owners are very nice.
Not my personal experience, but it stood out to me when another wife in the line trade shared it since I am native to this area.
I took the time to look through some reviews and noticed this owner has a history of prejudice against traveling workers and their families.
Clearly this lady needs some education. In a community that, like most of West Tennessee, is absolutely dirt poor, extremely well-paid electrical workers (who make wayyyyyy above the local median income) and their wives and children are reaching out for a place to stay in run-down corner of the universe that has few options. She apparently loves to tell these folks that she “isn’t running a trailer park.” I’m a linewife myself who has travelled from coast-to-coast following this noble trade, and I can’t imagine someone running a ramshackle campground off the 40 down there in those bottoms judging our lifestyle.
I don’t like to be ugly, but a big part of me hopes that her electricity shuts off and there ain’t nobody around to turn it back on.
I had a very relaxing one-nighter here. Easy access from the freeway, but far enough not to hear traffic. The owner has a "big" personality and was fun to talk with, and she was welcoming to me. They accommodated a late arrival. The gentleman in the office walked me to my site and made sure I was ok with everything. Site was level, had nice tree cover, and neighbors were quiet. Cash only and the price was reasonable. I would stay here again.
Convenient and quiet off the grid location, but within 15 minutes of everything you could possibly need. I wouldn't necessarily spend a week here, but an overnight at $40 was a great deal. I will give a word of warning that if you don't have your own bathroom, this place may not be for you.
