    updated June 2017:
since the new administration started about a year ago, the various services have improved greatly, due to the dedication of the board and volunteers. Khateebs are much better. Various programs involve and serve the community. Hope the school will start again some day.
    older post notes from 2014:
I have visited this masjid for about 14 years. The new building is large and beautiful, but sadly it was mostly empty. Specially absent were young people. The old-school, back-home, irrelevant style seemed to be what had turned people off. Otherwise, like IOK and masjid Irvine, this masjid would be overflowing. The standards were low, for quality of service. Seemed like 90% of people in the board were Pakistani and Indian. And sadly, the same poor management style of back home was imported and repeated here. Some of the extra baggage needed to be let go. The children of those old people on the board, should be running this masjid, similar to masjid Irvine. Or like Garden Grove masjid, where Muzammil Siddiqui's son became the president. Nepotism and keeping it all in the family can be a step in the right direction, by handing control to the next generation. It was disappointing to see this valuable resource not being utilized to its maximum potential. Specially the charter school had to be shutdown due to financial mis-management. Otherwise we could have muslim children learning Arabic for free. The charter school was free, like a public school, and earned a lot of money for "rent" from the public school system. Looking forward to things getting better for our community, staying hopeful

This mosque is awesome. It provides a lot of islamic and societal services. (Family time time on Friday night/free Iftar M&TH/Medical service on Sunday/Mortuary services) Ma sha' Allah, Some brothers are really staying true to their beliefs. Be happy to support such community.
