  This used to be a great place to shop and I enjoyed spending time there but lately it has gone downhill. Stores and restaurants are closing up and there are a lot of vacant areas there. Starbucks was in and out of there in no time and the area is just left vacant, the little train they had that ran through the mall for the kids just been gone for a year or more Applebee's folded up which was a crying shame I was a great place to grab lunch dinner whatever. Dick's Sporting Goods is a great place the shop I'm surprised that they invested so much money in a place that feels like it's just dying. I don't see near the Shoppers or that I used to. I hope they find a way to pump some life back into that Center.

  It's the mall we grew up with. Still have some good stores and decent people's work here, even if the surrounding competition has made the life of this mall hard. The only reason I am giving a 4 star rating is because the pissa place is no longer here. Other than that, iv always loved this place.
  I'd hate for my opinion to be bias cause it's a place I've known my whole life, but it's just a good place. Lots of interesting shops, ad a good play ground for the kids.

  I've always liked shopping malls. Shame that so many have failed. Anyway, the selection of stores is great, and it's easy to navigate through. So many options for parking and entry. Food court may be a little slim these days, but still some common favorites. Fantastic children play area.

  Staff is so friendly and helpful. Never have problems price matching or using coupons here! Always have what i need!

  This mall has lost its spark. In order to attract new or welcome back previous loyal customers you need to create this mall into an experience that shoppers can enjoy again. Add an arcade, movie theatre, courtyard shows for families, do fashion shows and offer an interactive app experience that rewards shoppers with dollars spent.

  Wish it was closer but love shopping there when I get to that part of town. Lots of great stores to choose from! I would rather shop there in a mall than going to all these stores that are in and out of the elements.

  It's good for certain stores that you go to on purpose but not just for walking around shopping for some reason. You feel on edge being there but that just may be my personal experience. It's clean for the most part and there are stores there just nothing real special about going there. Could be updated to feel like a higher end mall with an experience to go for.

  When this Shopping Center opened in 74 I was a 16 year old and loved it. Nowadays I'm not much of a consumerist but I do like to walk the Center in the winters. It is still in good shape.

  Love this place and have been going to it for over 10 years. Love the food, the different shops. Beaitiful. I just got a massage from Relax Magic and it was amazing. Go and support this shop its wonderful and you will be feeling fresh. The price is awesome and well, well worth it. If you visit Independence, make sure to stop by this mall!!

  I claimed that Oak Park Mall was the only surviving mall in Kansas City. That's not true. This place is best for watching teens walk around and attempt to be cool for each other.

  Awesome mall, so many shops...but SO crowded! Go during the weekdays and not at night or on the weekends. Too many people and a lot of maneuvering. They have a good food court and the movie theatre is awesome (but plan ahead because the lines are LONG).

  I've been going here since I was little.
  Very nice and modern looking. Great updates!
  Always feel safe and see security making the walk around trips. You can get your exercise walking for sure here...lol. I stay away during the holiday rush in December as its too busy. Get your shopping done by November and your good to go!

  It's still a great mall with a great selection of stores. They seem to always be trying to improve and update. It has gotten a bad wrap lately and that is simply because it's the last great mall hangout for youths. Which has brought people from further in the urban areas, making it a beautiful cornucopia of people. I have never had a problem there and I am thankful we have this mall close by.

  This place has the largest selections for clothing that I've ever seen. I came into town for business and went to Dillard' s for some sport coats and they have all the colors and sizes I needed. This includes items I've never seen before!
