Food and beer are top notch! Definitely a place yo recommend any tiurist looking for good quality pub food and beer! Kimberly was a great waitress!
The atmosphere outside is amazing! There is a fire pit, some bar games and small light bulbs making this place really special. Their beers are also very good and I would recommend to have the flight and try some. Unfortunately, that is all this place has to offer. The food was very moderate - fish and chips was way too oily, groats were too hard and ribeye steak was poorly cooked (it came scorched when I asked for medium-well).
I also have to say that the service was good and they agreed to replace one of our dishes.
To sum up - After a very long wait, we were very disappointed from such a promising place with so much potential.
I would recommend to go to this place only to grab a bear and sit outside near the fire
Waitstaff and ambience was the only good part. $3.00 for watered down lemonade. Burgers we asked specifically for no pickles they sent picked wedges, we wanted the onions, got no onions and they were over cooked! Table was wobbly. We were seated in the direct sunlight inside. Quinn our waitress was great she deserves a raise!
Food was good staff was friendly. Interesting decor, beer wasn't my style. It was good just not my favorite but that's my opinion. try this place out for yourself definitely worth trying if you in the area.
Probably my favorite al fresco dining spot for lunch or dinner in Stowe. Can't beat the patio - it feels like you're at a resort (even if you're a local). I had a great vegetarian entree and wine by the glass on my last visit.
Great times and great beer (and I qualify the latter by saying I'm an award winning brewer). The staff were all friendly and helpful- I felt like I made new friends which says a lot compared to most locals I ran into. While I did have time for a bite, what I saw drift past me looked amazing. The outdoor patio was wonderful. If I return to Stowe, this would be one of my first stops.
Great variety of brews available and the food was delicious (and served very fast). I really enjoyed that they had helles bock on tap personally. Also, the outdoor area / bar or "tree house" is really nice on a warm evening. It's large enough to play corn hole and it connects to the trail that goes through town.
What a wonderful find after the Ben and Jerry's tour. Everyone was crammed into von Trapp, but this place was really delicious and had the mix of bar and Mediterranean club atmosphere. Also a great beer selection. Happy to visit again next time I'm in Vermont.
We came for the beer so can't speak to the food (but it looked delicious) The excellent variety of beer was a welcome respite from the ass-kicking hoppy beers provided at The Alchemist. Prices were reasonable: $2 per 4oz sample, which seems to be about the norm these days. We went off season (albeit on a Saturday night) and the bar area was packed. I imagine this place is a madhouse in the winter months!
What a lovely restaurant! The interior is clean and pretty, the outdoor area is so relaxing and well-designed. Good music playing from subtly-placed speakers. Cornhole is available to play in the garden. The in-house brewed beer is delicious and they have a wide variety too. I've also tried the pub burger and it was a bit expensive but tasted great nonetheless. Would definitely come back.
Great outdoor patio in the back and the outdoor bar is really comfy as well. The back area seemed dog and kid friendly with some bean bag games. We all ordered burgers and they were excellent. I ordered rare, and it was actually rare. I ordered the dunkel ale and it was really smooth and delicious, so I had another. Service was friendly and food came out very quickly despite the busy evening. Salad was over dressed.
Absolutely loved this place. Can access directly on bike path or 108. The inside is beautiful and classy and out back outside an awesome bar and outdoor seating. Went there 2 days in a row because not only was the food delicious but the 2 bartenders we had were great. We're given cool wet towels when we sat down as we had been riding on a hot day. Such an unexpected treat! Excellent wine and beer selection. Best burger and fries I've had in a while. We tried a few apps such as the mussels of the day (with kale bacon and white wine) along with smoked trout dip and were impressed with both. The dinner menu looks impressive but with nice prices. Looking forward to going back!
