Lovely atmosphere, very friendly. Good coffee and italian sodas.
Lovely place for coffee and snacks. Open space with good views of the street. Relaxed place to hang out with a friend.
Great little spot to have coffee and meet friends. They are super nice. Just a pleasant atmosphere.
Good coffee, reasonable prices, and cultural atmosphere.
I was looking for breakfast and stumbled across here. I'm not of a bookstore-and-café-type person so at first I thought it was going to be another prestigious hipster joint but it was actually very nice. The two women behind the counter were very nice, helpful, friendly and professional. Anything with customer service like that gets high marks from nowadays. I got an almond croissant and a small hot chai and it came out to $7.23. the croissant was good but the chai want as sweet as I usually like (just personal preference and not a comment on their establishment). I would like to go back to try some of their other pastries and lunch.
This review puts me in a bit of a jam. Really a nice place. Clean, well lit and on a marquee corner downtown. It's a very nice addition to the area and I hope it's a big success.
That said - Holy smokes it's an expensive cup of joe! Starbucks invented expensive coffee and I paid 50% more than I would there for a cup at Hypertext, and 50% more than I would at just about any proper coffee shop out there. North of $3 for a basic coffee that wasn't even hot.
