If you do not try Husk while you are in Charleston then you are missing one of the best dinner experiences you may every have. The character and authenticity of the building, wait staff, menu, and food is hands down one of the best I have seen. The quality of service was above par. The drink menu is an element of its own and deserves its own credits and accolade. Try something you have never heard of and you will probably love it. The food was amazing and unique to the local area. Hats off to Husk for showing how Farm to Table dining can really work.
If we lived closer this would be the place for any special occasion. The prices are a little high but set that thought aside while you order what sounds the best to you and have a great dining experience.

Have been to Husk in Greenville several times. The menu is not "EVER CHANGING" as described, because we've checked it a dozen times online and only one or two items have ever changed and they're still items that were on the menu already, taken off, and then brought back. They really need to stop already with the hyperbole of an ever changing menu and what they describe as layers and layers of flavor. The food was good but not extraordinary based on their layers and layers hype! The servers know some of the hype but are also confused by the rest of the hype which they cant even explain to you! With such a limited specialized and pricey menu, it would be difficult to eat there even 1 or 2 times a month. The parking situation is atrocious and neither the hostess nor manager have any suggestions other than"Oh Well, Deal With It"! The best part of the whole experience is the building. I hope they can keep surviving on that. It would have been worth it to have Sean Brock be around a bit to kick off this new openinghis absence was very shortsighted!

Yes, come here. Where to beginfood: outstanding. Decor: elegant yet comfortable. Service: very friendly and honest. All-around: a must if you’re in the area. We came here on our weekend visit because of recommendations from friends, and they were all correct.
We had more than one dish where we agreed we had never had anything like it - not crazy, but unprecedented.

Good place to get unique cuisine that is hard to duplicate at home. Bit expensive but definitely fun to try. Cornbread and ribs outstanding. The quail is good but fills a small appetite. Pecan pie and pumpkin pie really good along with the Manhattans!

I cannot rave enough about this place. My husband and I tried pig ears for the 1st time and they were interesting and our server helped suggest excellent choice of drinks to compliment our meal. He even brought us wet napkins for our finger foods. I was pleased with the removal of appetizer/salad utensils and replaced with dinner utensils. We shared our dinner course and they brought it out split already so we didn't have to. I am extremely glad we got to experience this wonderful resturant in historian Charleston.

get a reservation in advance. the building it is in is picturesque and you will love the food, the drinks and especially the service. We forced them to take a picture of us all on the upper patio for the memories. Will absolutely return every trip to Charleston.

Above and beyond expectations, which were celestial to say the least. Every detail -- from the welcoming porch, the friendly hosts, the generous table placement, every delectable, indescribable bite of dishes and sip of cocktails -- reinforces Husk's rightful place as culinary king. Our server, Talmadge, was the shining jewel in the crown. If you have the opportunity to go, request him and follow his recommendations. Top to bottom perfection.

Was not able to get in for dinner but had a spectacular lunch. My wife and I ate for $88 with two adult beverages each. I thought at so a renowned place it would for sure be more. Great price for a very nice and special lunch. MUST GO

Quaint reclaimed French quarter house. Locally sourced ingredients. Delicious but not heavy corn bread. Perfectly blended flavours for the shrimp and grits. THE pig ears in lettuce blanket! And a 100+ option bourbon menu. All the things we were looking for in a Charleston foodie destination. Glorious.

My husband and I stopped by the Bar at Husk to take a break from the South Carolina heat and it is the perfect place to do just that! We sat out on the patio because it was early enough in the day we weren't in the mood for the traditional bar atmosphere though I was impressed by how welcoming the staff immediately was in the bar.

A friend of mine recommended the Dragoon and cheeseburger so we got the burger plus the fried chicken. The burger was tasty but the chicken was amazing!

COME TO HUSK AND EAT THIS FRIED CHICKEN. It's the best fried chicken I've ever had. Super crispy, moist but not oily, and didn't need any dips but was delicious with hot sauce, their homemade ranch (which I did like!), and honey.

Seriously though, I want this chicken right now.

Best Hush Puppies around! Everything was delicious, and staff was very helpful in making suggestions. Locally sourced food prepared in a fresh yet traditional way. All your local favorites and some new ones too! Menu changes daily and is driven by market availability, so just go knowing you will be getting the best in fresh local ingredients.

Great place to stop if you want the authentic Charleston experience. My wife and I were able to book a reservation the night prior, otherwise wouldn't be able to get in. The national fame due to Anthony Bourdain and Bill Murray has got people curious about this spot. Our waiter was friendly and courteous. My wife got the burger which was juicy and fresh. I got the shrimp and grits, which was very good as well. The grits were very creamy with a nice tomato sauce in as well. Only bad thing was a relatively long wait for the food. Otherwise I would highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious! I had the catfish which was seasoned perfectly. The cheeseburger was filling but tasty. My drink (Dragoon's Punch) was amazing, albeit a little pricey. The restaurant itself also is beautiful.

From the moment we sat down and met Bob, our server, we knew this was going to be a special occasion. Bob was funny and knew every little bit of trivia we threw at him involving the menu. He may not be a career waiter, but he sure acted like it, and I love it when people appear to love their job. It makes me feel comfortable and ready to spend some money on a fantastic meal.
We got all the courses we could get. Starters, mains, cocktails, a butter and bread course (which was a surprise to us since it comes to every table, but we weren't informed) and desserts. Nothing came to the table that didn't make us gesticulate with pleasure. We shared forkfuls of food with each other as we split up pieces of shaved ham and strawberry to pass around. We dredged our rolls through the bacon infused butter in the earthenware dishes.
This is a put-together restaurant. It's a restaurant that owns what it is. It makes me proud to live in the south and know all this flavor can come out of butter beans and rice and tomatoes, ham and salt. I'd love to return for a more adventurous dinner menu, as I've been told it is.

Fantastic and surprising dining experience. There was great use and infusion of Asian ingredients like Chinese Dried Sausage and vegetables. I really surprised by the experience and the creativity really pulled through.

The service was generally good; props to the interior/overall-space.

If you can get a reservation it's definitely worth the wait.
