Great Hardware store. If they don't have it you don't need it. Found what I needed at a low price. Helpful, friendly staff.
For my family we have been coming to Deltaville for 83 years. Hurd's was a family that my mother met the first day. They were a grocery store then. Do over 65 years Hurds has bee the best hardware store. If I need something special I will make a special trip just to go to Hurd's. Our house is closed up in the winter, but I have to check on it ever so often in the winter. So a trip to Hurd's is inevitable. The people are so nice and very helpful. The ladies in the front are wonderful. Norton Hurd is a Deltaville institution.!
Best place to stop for Boat parts in town before you head to that Big Box store..
I LOVE Hurds! Mr. Hurd, 100 years old, waited on me and helped me with some oyster shucking gloves. Friendly service, lottsa cool stuff, hardware, Sperry Topsiders, clothes, plumbing, gardening supplies, cards, boat stuff, paint, decorating items, gosh, everything you NEED for your home, boat, etc!!
Emplyees always helpful and knowledgeable. Store has a little of everything.
This family owned store is always helpful and friendly. And they always seem to have what we are looking for at a good price. If they don't, they'll get it for us!. We keep going back.
Great help and prices!!always go back
I get to Hurds about once a month during the boating season. The folks are friendly and helpful, and the prices are pretty decent; zincs are about 70% of what they are at West Marine and the stainless hardware seems reasonable; you can pick it out yourself.
They don't have a lot of stuff in stock (such as impellers) but a helpful agent there told me that they can order anything from their marine catalog and then you can pick it up without shipping charges. I'm going to try that soon.
Note that they are not open Sundays. That itself tells you a little about Hurds, a friendly family-oriented place.
