Oh my Gawd, the bread, the cookies, the pastries, and don't forget the Savories. Those flaky crisp-tender savory tarts sweet potato and caramelized onion, but wait
Don't forget to try the kale and lentil too.
Dreams are made from those 2 items.
If you are wanting some crusted old world goodness try any of the many varieties of breads, my favorite is the Rosemary rustic loaf.
You can see for yourself, and I'm guessing many who see this will already be familiar with the Bakery and all it creates.
Bon apetit

No matter where you live, this local bread is worth the drive. Simple pure and fresh ingredients and when you get one warm from the oven is heaven in a bag. There over rotating variety never ceases to impress. They have expanded to offering pizzas later in the day. I have not personally had one,. It have heard great things. Be sure to get there early as one they sell out the days batch there is no more till the next morning.
Awesome bread and incredible chocolate rye cookies. One of my favorite bakeries
Are they worth driving an hour round trip? Absolutely! We love their rosemary, olive & semolina, potato and thyme, spiced sweet rolls, and especially their buttermilk biscuits.
They don't have everything on a daily basis, so be sure to check their baking calendar. I just wish there was a way to know ahead of time what they're out of and what's still in stock. Doesn't matter, if they don't have what I am craving, they always seem to have something new worth trying.
Good bread and even better staff. One time I didn't have enough cash on me and they still sold me the bread simply telling me to come back and return the money. I returned the money and also bought some more bread while at it. Smart and friendly business
Incredible local bakery/pizza shop worth checking out if you're in the Northampton area. While it is not the overall tastiest option for Vegan Pizza in the area it is by far the healthiest and least greasy and that's always a bonus.
Best local bread in the area and their pizza is top notch! Anything you try, you'll be happy you went here!
Hungry ghost is my favorite local bakery. Their bread is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The pizza is also incredible. I definitely recommend calling ahead for orders of both pizza and bread!
Bought two fougasse and they were completely raw inside and almost burned outside. Head baker wouldn't even look at it. I don't really care if you're around, so long as you can bring yourself to eat crow when you mess up.
So much yum. The pizza is amazing.
Best bread pretty much anywhere, hands down. The olive or potato fougasse is amazing! Pastries are also really good & not overly sweet. Pizza can be transcendental or just good, depending on the night.
Amazing sourdough bread! The bread is always good and the cookies are even better! Check their schedule to see what they have planned for the day. You can often go in and find them baking bread fresh all day!
SO GOOD. The bread, AMAZING, the pizza, AMAZING, the service, AWESOME. Something of note for anyone not from around: There isn't place inside to sit and eat. So, if you want food plan to be taking it to go to either sit outside(on a ledge thing, not actual set up chairs[at least when I went]) or take the food home with you to eat. Honestly, my partner and I were so excited that we ate most of the bread in the car on the way home, oops! Anyways, awesome, awesome, place.
