  This place is a joke and they rip off people. Trying to charge $150-200 to fix a 1/4 inch pipe in my muffler. The guy said parts were around $40 dollars, but the labor was the rest. I decided not to do it and he charge $25 just for putting my car in the hoist and look at my car for a minute. He never mention anything at the beginning, when I drop off the car. I also had a friend, that they replaced his motor and ruined. This place should be close for ripping off people.

  Highly recommend, 5 stars for sure! Driving cross country and our passenger side brake caliper broke free, luckily on an exit ramp! They towed our van in on a Sunday, evaluated the damage Monday morning, found it was a quick repair and got us on the road by 11:00 a.m.! We aren't "locals" but felt they treated us as if we were long time customers! Thank you Hovland's!!

  just moved to the area and was looking for a good repair shop to bring my vehicals too. this place WASNT IT. DEFINATELY NOT IT. we had brake line break on our car. I drove it in and left it with them. my friend who is a master auto technician for over 30 yrs runs his own shop in Kenosha told me the most it should cost for that repair would be $250 maximum . well this place charged me $600 and the mechanic was a grumpy guy who they said got mad and took the day off after he started on the car so it would be longer till we got it back due to that. I almost fell over when they said $600 for a metal brake line being replaced. yeah never went back here again. and just recenly needed a tow under my AAA membership well hovland was who they said would come out for AAA then they called back and said they were busy so another farther place had to come that guy said because they weren't getting the car brought to there shop to fix they probally didn't want the tow .I was having a different shop fix it in town . yeah definitely wont go there again.

  I would give them 6 stars if possible. Visiting from NC and needed a service. This is better than my hometown dealer. If I lived 50 miles away I would bring my routine service needs here, and repairs also. Great job, efficiently and well done and a great price.

  Wisconsin vacation started with a very blown out tire between the Dells and Tomah. Tried ourselves, but once we got the wheel off the tire belt was wedged in parts and we couldn't get it out. Hovlands came out at midnight, got the belt out and finished the tire change. Lifesaver with six people in the van and 39 miles to go! Thank you!

  This past week we were vacationing at the Dells. The day we were set to come home it was extremely cold. Our car just needed a battery jump and charge. We called our roadside assistance and this is who they sent. Beware! The guy was very unfriendly. My husband asked him to please just let the battery charge but he wouldn't leave it on any longer than a few minutes. Then after only a couple minutes of his arrival he tells us we needed an alternator and they can get to it the following day. Here's the kicker! We just had an alternator put on a month ago! Scam! They knew we were from out of town and had to get home. With a sick child that we needed to get home to her doctor these people could not have tried to take more advantage of the situation! I will also be reporting them to our insurance company!
  FYI upon returning home our mechanic troubleshooted the vehicle. It DOESNT NEED A NEW ALTERNATOR! Jerk.

  Easy to work with. The gentleman I dealt with was kind and caring. If you need a tow or to get pulled out I highly recommend trying Hovland's Towing.

  stay away, stay alive..dont think i would wonder all the way out here, let alone subject my children to the dangers that lurk just out of site and just behyond your vison

  The service manager was able to get me in for repairs to my sister in laws auto the same day I called. Power steering went out and they had the new part installed and car ready for pickup the next day. Great people and service that you don't see as much any more. Thank you Hovland's.

  To the owners, Dan, Joe, Mary, shop managers, and staff, we thank you so much for all your help while we were stranded at Wis Dells. You were very accommodating, offering soup to my husband, accommodating our puppy, and telling fishing stories to our son. Thank you for the high level of customer service, hospitality, and courtesy you provided our family. Your service was off the charts! I will highly recommend people who have road problems a thousand miles from your business to try to get to you to be taken care of!
  
  We are officially back on the road, The vehicle is running great!
