Love this zoo! I have been going here since I was a child and it never disappoints me. I love going here all the time! It's handicap accessible, has great prices, ALOT OF AMAZING ANIMALS TOO! If you haven't been to hovatters wildlife zoo then you need to go because you don't want to miss this amazing opportunity every year! They even got in New animals like sloths which are my all time favorite animals along with giraffes, bear, tiger, lions, etc ITS WELL WORTH THE TRIP!!!!

This was one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to. Staff was great and animals were beautiful. Just happened across the zoo on a little tour of West Virginia. J

Love this zoo! Have been going to this zoo since I was a child!!! Handicap accessible! You can feed the animals even. Not that much to get in! Fun activities for the kids and adults to do.

I took my 10 year old granddaughter there, fantastic place to go to. She loved being able to feed the different animals and being up close to them. There was a little baby monkey that she was fascinated with and going into the bird exhibit and having the parakeets land on her hands and eating food off a stick was a thrill. An excellent visit!

I saw some reviews that said th animals were in bad shape and that the enclosures were to small. Absolutely wrong. The animals were healthy and all appeared healthy. The enclosures were in great shape (many appear brand new). The only exception was the chimpanzee enclosure, which seemed small until I realized there was another section to it. I think they are also making a new area for them.
All that aside, I recommend going early. Get to the bird area first with the kids, as it is amazing to have the birds land on you and play on your shoes. Don’t miss it!

This was a great place! It's small enough to really get to see and interact with all of the animals, and the walking is easy. We really enjoyed our visit!

Had a nice time aside from them paving the lot and not informing people that the asphalt was soft. My mom's wheelchair sunk down in and the wheels were covered in tar. Very big pain to try and clean! Signs indicating where to go would have been nice. It was at the entrance so we had no choice but to go through but one side was much softer than the other which we didn't realize. Otherwise the animals were neat especially feeding the giraffes.

Wish I wouldn't have gone. Cages to small. Animals seem sad. Toys for the animals is old kid toys and pvc pipes to feed them. This is not a zooit is animal cruelty. Wish someone would take these animals to a bigger zoo so they have the space they deserve.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. Animal exhibits are so small and unnatural. Monkey cages were incredibly small and giraffes are locked in a pen just filled with stone. Animals looked depresssed standing in corners and pacing back in forth. It was so sad and sickening that my girlfriend and I left after 10 minutes. Whatever you do don't come her and give them money. I would give this place zero stars if I coild

Wonderful interactive zoo experience with a large variety of native and exotic animals. My Grandchildren (ages 1,4 and 6) thoroughly enjoyed this experience; and we plan to go back to the zoo in a couple of weeks! The camel ride was a great hit with the kids as was feeding the parakeets and giraffes!

I thought it was awesome! I got to feed giraffe's and other animals. Really cool, only reason for 4 star is the price for all the additional things other than the entry price.
