Marvelous hosts at the curb, phenomenal wait staff, incredible décor, and nothing but the best musical acts. I also LOVED the dang food! Please, please, please try to catch "Captain Morgan Lee" and his band!!! They look straight out of "Parliament" but they deliver a genuine blues throwback with a great up-tempo mix to the classics. I did not catch our waitresses name but on July 23rd, 2022 at 1900, the blue haired waitress knocked it out of the park!!! Very happy to spend my money here any day of the week.

Super friendly bartender upstairs was awesome about me refilling my coke for free as long as I kept my glass. Thank u! The sound guy needed to tone down the feedback a few times. But great place to see a show. Definitely!

I tend to frequent HOB all over America on a very regular basis. They seem to showcase many artists I love. Sound and lighting are always great. Especially, at the Jerry Cantrell show recently in San Diego.

The service was excellent but the music left a bit to be desired. For a Saturday night I expected a better band then what was there. The menu looked good but the music wasn't so we only stayed for two drinks. Lots of potentialmaybe we caught a bad night.

Not sure what planet this place or it's staff are living on. Tonight after having a lovely Italian meal just down the road, we walked back to the house of blues to hear the band and have another drink before heading home. We were refused service as apparently we were showing signs of intoxication. We were the only people in the bar and blatantly NOT intoxicated. So I have to ask why were we refused service, what kind of place is it that will refuse to serve the only customers present with such a poorly thought out and ridiculous excuse. Honestly I am glad we didn't get a chance to buy a drink in this establishment and I would caution others from doing so. There is something very wrong with this place. Don't really know what else to say. I should mention that we were two couples between the ages of 65 and 71, were dressed smart casual and quietly sat at a table waiting for a menu. I would love to hear from the management with an explanation of their decision, but quite honestly don't expect a rational reason would be forthcoming.
