Time Zone: America/Chicago
Beautiful library with a amazing staff.
I love the library, that's not just my inner child who loves Reading Rainbow talking. It's a nice environment and lots of events periodically
Kind of overwhelming the first visit because it's so big, but a really nice place. Their board game night every other month is really fun as well.
The cafe is pretty impressive.
Very relaxing place to be. If they don't have the book you want they can find it in another library even in another state.
If you want a quiet place to read or work, head to the very back to the Quiet Zone study carrels and open individual desks. (Don't sit by a window if you daydream like me.)
Found out if you live out of the county even though your on the border and if the place you live is not in B'ham you have to pay $50 to renew your card. Which happens in 2 weeks for me
I love this library...
Front desk people are so nice! Now reading Dog Senses
I love this place. It's like Cheers, Where everyone knows your name.
Need the quietest place to study? The Electronics-Free Quiet Study Room across from Nonfiction is ringtone, click clack, and bad music from leaky headphones free!
bonus book stash: find the stairs back by the non-fiction section that lead to a study room with a wall full of "for sale" used books. just grab your book & take it back upstairs to pay for it.
Great place to study! Plus the Cafe has great food so ypu don't have to leave!
Comfy seating in the Plaza!!
Superfriendly librarians. Great selection of materials, and a nice place to spend an hour or two. At the cafe, the brownie tasted a few days old, but the hot chocolate was delish.
