Holland is a city in Pemiscot County, Missouri, United States. The population was 229 at the 2010 census.HistoryThe first permanent settlement at Holland was made in 1871. The area experienced growth with the arrival of the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway in 1901. The town site was platted in 1902, and most likely was named after J. W. Holland, an early settler. The racial makeup of the city was 93.01% White, 0.44% Native American, 3.49% from other races, and 3.06% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.68% of the population.There were 98 households of which 27.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.9% were married couples living together, 14.3% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 36.7% were non-families. 33.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.34 and the average family size was 2.89.
