The Third Street Grille, located in the Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor in beautiful downtown Muskegon has openings for breakfast servers. If you have experience serving, a great smile and a winning attitude, we have a job for you! Our restaurant opens at 6:30 am, so being an early bird is a requirement, we’re in a hotel, which means we’re open 7 days a week so weekends are also a requirement, and knowledge of Digital Dining is a bonus, but we’ll train the right person, so not a must. If this sounds like a great opportunity for you, please apply in person, not over the phone, at the Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor, 939 Third Street across from the historic Frauenthal Theater in downtown Muskegon.

Very disappointed with this hotel in their decision of having their band perform very loudly last night while the Street Performers were trying to perform! The street performers were only out on the street from 6:00-8:00 and there was no reason why your band couldn't have waited until after 8:00 to play like Rad Dad's band did. But instead you chose to have them out on your patio playing so loud that their amps were squealing. My young daughter was on the corner singing and having a lot of fun until your band over powered her and drownded her out so she ended up in tears and leaving 45 minutes early. Here you have someone trying to promote Muskegon and even draw in more business for your bar\restaurant and yet this happens. Very disappointed in your choice of business.

Hi Doug, I book a hotel room in downtown Muskegon Michigan on July 2nd, they are over and someone walked in my room in the middle of the night and I complained to the front there the security came up asking if I am ok then walk them away. I was in the sleeping with my 2 daughters, I hear someone open the door and there the guy walks into my room when he heard I asked "Who is that, why you are in my room?" he was run out the room I was run after him he runs away. I do conform to the front desk but they didn't anything. They don't even say sorry for the happened, I am so upset. This is the first time I am a book with your hotel but has a bad experienced I give 1 start .

We walked in our room and saw others possessions. Went back downstairs and was waiting. They gave us a drink voucher because someone gave our room away. We waited and my daughter is in the pageant tonight and needs to shower. It is going on 340. I finally ask if a room is ready as My daughter has to shower and get ready. They get us a room. We walk in a room with no ac on. It was so hot I broke out in a sweat walking in. This is just unacceptable. I don’t care you have a pageant going on all week. Then you going to offer me a drink voucher to wait. Really? Bad taste in my mouth.

Not too mention the towels had hair on them.

The holiday inn downtown is a disgusting mess. I just finished staying there for 5 days. Here is what I experienced and what other guests told me:

    1. Only one of 2 elevators working. No attempt to repair or explain to guests.

    2. Staff lied to me and said it had only been broken since Friday. Other staff said 2 weeks.

    3. Water leaking issue caused fire alarms to be triggered at around 5:30 in the morning-TWICE-I spoke with a firefighter at the scene.

    4. *****BIGGEST ISSUE*****fire alarm in my room did NOT go off in my room. This has to be some sort of code violation. I reported it to fire staff. If guests had not knocked on door never would have known.

    5. Rude apathetic front desk staff except for Jason. Many staff sit while guests stand line.

    6. Remember the fire alarm? Staff did not inform guests it was safe to return to rooms.

    7. Had to take the stairs because you know—there was fire alarm and staircase was full of garbage.

    8. Room keys NEVER worked. For the whole entire hotel. Each day people waited for the one elevator made it to their rooms and had malfunctioning keys so had schelp back down to lazy staff at front desk that wasn’t even bothering to inform guests when they walked by to check their key cards.

    9. Other guests reports: no hot water, messed up reservations, broken toilet.

    10. The food? No. Half uncooked potatoes.

I stayed in a hotel during Daytona’s bike week that had just been opened that day post hurricane and it was not as bad as this place.

The only thing that was good about our stay was Clarence in the restaurant. He was genuinely happy and friendly. Everything else was mediocre. Would not stay again, left early because the toilet in our room kept stopping up. Bad experience.

We had kids smoking weed in the rooms around us. (Prom was across the street.). They were slamming doors and yelling until 4 in the morning. We called and security just told them to quiet down. The smell was coming into our room where children were present. We were told there were no rooms available to move to. Nothing was done to help with the situation. They stated they would use our experience as a training exercise. No other compensation was given. Other guests said they heard it and their rooms were not clean. The hotel was full and only one elevator was working.

Good location for a family trip. Enjoyed pool when we had to ourselves, but otherwise too many unsupervised kids in pool and hot tub after 10 pm. Room was clean - kids looked under bed for something and it was really clean. In the morning of our check in I was told we could have a room on the 7th or 8th floor but at check in was put on the 4th floor - I believe the hotel was very full. Easy to get an extra rollaway. Thanks for a nice stay

These were a group of amazing people! We went for a photo-shoot with my terminally ill husband. They excepted his oxygen condenser and tanks for me, made sure that we got an early check in so we could get the condenser set up and running when we got there. They made sure all 4 of our rooms where on the same floor and even delivered our 4th rooms keys when it was ready. We had pizza for dinner in the 3rd Street Grille at the hotel. All 15 of us, yes 15, were treated so kindly and had all the servers attention. The staff made out stay a huge success even it with the winds and rainy weather! Thank you Teanna for all of you patience and help!

Normally I am very happy with Holiday Inns but this one wasn't so great. When checking in the lady at the front desk was some what friendly. (but did not mention that we had free breakfast the next morning.) Our room was not the best. The bathroom was the smallest hotel bathroom I've ever been in, you could not sit on the toilet without the door either being right on top of you or closing it. The sink area was already small enough and then they put all the coffee stuff on it to give you know room at all, the TV sucked as the picture was horrible our room needed dusted badly and there was no safe in the room for our valuable belongings. The next morning we go to check out and meet our friends down at the lobby and as we were looking up places to go eat in the area our friend decided to go ask the front desk and then after already having two conversations with the lady she decided to now tell us we have free breakfast with our rooms. Poor communication at the front desk! So we go eat our free breakfast and I will say our waitress was one of the sweetest and nicest waitress I've ever had. She was great and that's the only reason why this hotel isn't getting a one in my eyes. This place needs some work and updates for the price they are charging.

I only gave a star so it can count as a review. The place was the only room left in town, so it was a last resort. $225.00 for a horrible night. Where to start? I guess the cigarette butts on the lobby floor entrance is a good place to begin. We checked in with a woman who clearly hates her job. After getting our plastic key, we headed to park. We were in a dank, dark basement area and had to walk up the outer stair case. My shoes got soaked because the low spot is not drained. When we finally got up 7 flights down a hallway I expected twins to be coming down riding their big wheels-to our room. The entrance to our room had filthy carpet. We opened the door to room with the 70's Brady Bunch decor. Filthy. Dusty. The microwave was filthy and the inside was chipped off. The fridge, or "petri dish" as we named it-had unknown remnants of years gone by. Just nasty. The tubhad at least 3 hairs in it. Disgusting! There was also a paint like substance on the rim and bottom of the tub. The smell of the shower liner could literally curl your nose hair. The coffee "area" was like a crime scene, just gross. The open closet had some plastic cups and the ice bucket over the rack where you hang your clothes. Odd. The lampshadesoh, comical! They were literally cracked everywhere, burned, and dusty-no, filthy! So I inspected the bed for bugs. Didn't see anything, so we decided to get in the bed to sleep after putting up the "do not disturb" placard on the door. After boiling 1/2 to death, and several trips to the A/C unit, we decided that the unit had to speedsgranny at church with her service announcement, or "is the fan even on?" The sheetshahaha! They looked like fat guy in a little coat! Wouldn't stay on to save our lives! I hate that! After struggling all night to sleep, the ultimate sinthe maid opened the door to clean the room around 8 am and got a face full of flack! She said it showed we were checked out already! I called the office, asking why it showed that we are already gonewhen we were trying to sleep in.. on Sunday, and she said we are still checked in, and she didn't know and promptly hung up! I want to mention the pool-like ridiculously chlorinated and half down from water. The kids were doing repeated cannon balls-and it was super loud! Dirty towels everywhere! The hot tub had been repainted a nasty cheap white color, and was cloudy. The pool has a plastic liner that was wrinkled and filthy! Like I saidthe water was no higher than 2 ft deep on the shallow end, and the supposed 5 ft side was no higher than 3ft, tops! Just a ball of nastiness and I just can't believe the nerve of this hotel charging Hyatt prices for less than motel hell quality! Just disgusted and will never return! Will sleep in my car first!

When we first got to our room, the clocks were all wrong and the phone did not work, and the TV did not work. The furnace was also turned off. The clocks, tv, and phone were all fixed well, but the furnace was really loud and woke us up in the middle of the night. The bubbles for the pool did not work, and reception on the satellite was extremely poor. This is my second stay at this hotel, and the first time was great. Not sure what happened this time.

Checked in with enough time to drop off my bags and go to the wedding that I was in town for when I discovered an issue with my bathroom. Reported it to the front desk on my way out. Issue was taken care of by the time I got back to my room. All of the staff were helpful, kind and smiling! Perfect stay!

It's 12:40am. The fire alarms went off about 20 mins ago. My family evacuated and stayed outside until we saw the fire Marshall truck leave. Upon entering the lobby the front desk attendant told the large group it was a false alarm and we could go back to our rooms. We are back in our room but the fire alarm with the loud announcement will not stop. We have tried several numbers but no one will answer. Now the kids are awake and scared and I am beyond frustrated.

Front desk staff was amazing. HOWEVER. . .restaurant was awful. Many times before we have had really good food - not this time. Must have new cooks. We will not NOT be eating there again..EVER!! Not nearly enough wait staff scheduled.
