A great lunch spot, as the lunch entrees are very affordable. Most of the food is delicious, the only thing I wouldn't recommend is the scallops as every time I have ordered them they come out rubbery. Overall it is a good choice for an affordable and tasty meal.

The BEST service in all of Boone and the food is wonderful. The staff at Hokkaido is the friendliest of any place you will ever visit and they are so accommodating to children. I can’t say enough good about Hokkaido restaurant!

Been coming here for years and the food is always good and the prices always reasonable. The servers know us by name and order after all this time :) we come at least once a week and always leave full and happy!

My wife and I were traveling to Boone for a quick weekend trip and decided to get food togo from Hokkaido . Upon arriving we decided we would rather eat at the restaurant so we wouldn't have to travel back to our rental and eat cold food , so we asked if it would be possible to eat our to go order in the restaurant and to our surprise the hostess said that the tables are for customers who would need to be waited on even though they were not even at half capacity . I explained that we did not even have drinks and would be more than happy to leave a tip for the waiter only to be told that there was a game and they would soon be busy even tho our order was ready and it would only take us 5-10 mins to eat . Needless to say we were blown away at the fact that we just purchased a meal just like every one else in the restaurant but because our order was "Togo" meant we would be unable to eat at the restaurant . Extremely disappointed in the lack of consideration for me and my pregnant wife . Guess some people are unable to learn southern hospitality .

Very swift service. Our server was polite and knowledgeable but did not rush us. We recommend this location to anyone looking for an affordable lunch.

Was back in town visiting and decided to stop by Hokkaido for lunch. I ordered the grilled salmon which came with a bowl of soup, steamed broccoli, sweet carrots and fried rice.
Our food order was taken quickly and our meals arrived faster than I expected. The salmon was very well prepared and everything was tasty.
