The decline in the oil and gas industry has been deviating to a large number of businesses. Consequently, multiple thousands of families have been directly affected. HMC has suffered and many long time employees and their families has suffered as well. U.S. crude oil for July delivery rose 67 cents to $50.36 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent, the global benchmark, rose 85 cents to $51.40 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
Prices have nearly doubled since hitting 13-year lows earlier this year as companies have slashed spending on new drilling, and unplanned outages in Nigeria and Canada helped reduce the global oversupply of crude.
