Fantastic selection of beer with an even greater wait staff. Sit with Madison, she gave the best service ever! TIP: Try the spicy tuna bowl.you're welcome!
This place is awesome! The best pancakes in town and everything we've gotten has been really good. It's perfect for breakfast and better than new places that have opened. They have a variety available on their menu and staff is friendly and prompt. It also feels good to support local businesses.
Great local place for breakfast, lunch, drinks, or just to hang out. Nice patio, friendly employees. They boast about natural foods but my friend noticed they use Heinz ketchup and mustard which is filled with artificial junk so, obviously not everything there is sourced thoughtfully.
Had lunch with a friend, who is a regular here, and enjoyed it a lot. Burger was great and the atmosphere is laid back. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Items available to purchase inside include specialty beers and oils and things.
This was a great establishment it's very comfortable and easy to relax Relax is what I mean. Service is slow. If you're in a hurry do not pick this place because you will need at least 45 minutes before the waitress takes your order. And in a 2-hour spanned you might see her 3 times. Outside of that this place is a great establishment and has excellent food. Nothing Frozen and prepared fresh while you wait.
My wife and I have been to this restaurant 4 different times. Each time we have ordered different meals and we have yet to have something that wasn’t fantastic. There is rarely a wait and the staff is incredibly friendly and very competent. We will continue to support this local gem!
Best breakfast in Ahwatukee for the healthy minded coffee lovers that appreciate a good craft beer selection! There is often a wait during weekend brunch hours, but it is worth it. The patio is nicely situated, the service is friendly and attentive though at times a little slow during busy periods. I have been here multiple times and even when it's busy, the food is so good and the atmosphere so laid back, it is always a good experience.
The only reason I don't give this restaurant five stars is because of the service. The service is very slow and if you ask to change your order in any way, it will probably not be honored.
I still come here because the food is very good. However, I have to be very proactive in order to get any requests such as extra sauce to be brought to fruition. I also do not come here if I am in a hurry.
This place was awesome! I really liked the food and they had breakfast all day! I ordered a "Hit The Spot Pancake", and boy did it ht the spot! They also had fresh baked cookies and a good kids menu.
This is not a fancy place but great and friendly spot to sit, relax and have something tasty to eat from a detailed menu including deserts. One can pre-order the breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also order all kinds of drinks from their pub, hot drinks as well. There are inner and outer seating arrangements and service is great. They have all the comfort measures in place for adults and children to enjoy their meals.

Hillside Spot has a stylish, open atmosphere good for conversation at its loudest. The food and coffee are solidly tasty for fair prices, and I'd recommend this as a lunch destination to anyone. The service is hit and miss--great in my experience, but your mileage may vary. Guide's note: Be forewarned, the men's restroom door has trouble locking. You'll think you've locked it, but I recommend you really give it a crank to be sure.
So we were in the area to check it out and stopped here because of the reviews. Totally justified. It was a little slow when we got here, so I dunno if it's the norm, but our server was super friendly and laid back. Talked to us about the coffee and his favorites. Speaking of, the coffee was a local roast. I'm a dark roast guy, but even with it being on the lighter side it was good. As we waited I was checking out the beer selection (conveniently located on shelves scattered about the place) and I'm looking forward to coming back for some. These guys are clearly passionate about their brews. Finally we come to the whole reason for the five stars. I got the chilaquiles and oh man, that salsa Verde. It's just right with the vinegar to smoke to spice ratio. My wife got a breakfast burrito (which was good if a little bland) and after tasting mine had to get a side of the salsa to smother hers in. Looking forward to coming back in the evening and checking out all the other stuff I missed.
This place has great food for reasonable prices. The build your own burritos are terrific. They have a bunch of different beers. There is something on the menu for everyone. The only issue I've ever had here is that they seem be short handed often, so service can be on the slow side. Very much worth the wait though.
Food is impressive for a local joint, only one meal I've had here wasn't good (a dry sandwich). Burgers and apps are great though. Very nice atmosphere and good local beers. Seems that the only dog friendly spot is a single 2 seat table on sidewalk outside restaurant, not the whole patio, so it's better to just not bring dogs here.
