My husband, cousin and myself enjoyed the hospitality of our hostess and owner. Great access to Cruz Bay, but be ready for a good workout coming up the hill. Fabulous views including the garden.
Great location to town. Walkable downhill and probably not uphill for most. Ms Phyllis was helpful and addresses things immediately if needed. Probably wouldn't stay on the ground floor apartment again but the upper unit was nice
Stayed here for a week, and I can't find a reason to complain. The views are magnificent, the accommodations are wonderful, and the owner gives you free booze.
First, the suite comes furnished with a full sized refrigerator, freezer, and go plate, so you can save your millions and shoot over to Dolphin Market, get
Great location right in Cruz Bay. It was a beautiful suite which included a bedroom, a dining room/living room area, a kitchen with full size refrigerator and small has stove and a bath with a tiled shower. Very clean and recently updated. It had a private screened porch. Simply lovely!
Considering it's a 2-star place, it's what you might expect. The hill is so steep, it needs steps. Rent a car if the hill is going to be a problem, there's parking available. I would not recommend staying there for more than 4 days. Free breakfast that's advertised is a fridge with 4 muffins, a dozen raw eggs, and bacon, which can be restocked on request IF you manage to get a hold of the owner, which we had problems doing, but she is very nice. To say that the conditions were sanitary might be stretching it, so not for the squeamish. Limited sound insulation from the outside but running AC improved that issue a bit. (We stayed in the Sunset Suite). On the plus side, there was plenty of complimentary liquor in the fridge. Snorkeling eqipment was included. Many DVDs to choose from, some board games. Overall, it's been a mixed experience with the hotel. We really enjoyed staying on St John.
